Oil India Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Online for 49 Junior Technician, Junior Office Assistant, Junior Engineer Posts

Oil India Limited PwBD Special Recruitment Drive 2026 is a dedicated recruitment initiative under Advertisement No. HRAQ/REC‑WP‑B/26‑148 dated 08 May 2026 to fill 49 backlog and shortfall vacancies reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) in Grade III and Grade VII workperson posts at OIL’s Field Headquarters, Duliajan.

The notification announces a total of 49 PwBD‑only vacancies across Junior Technician, Junior Office Assistant and Junior Engineer (Electrical) posts, with 45 posts in Grade III and 4 posts in Grade VII, classified as backlog/shortfall vacancies against the PwBD reservation.

Posts include Junior Technician (Electronics Mechanic, Fitter, Instrument Mechanic, Surveyor), Junior Office Assistant, and Junior Engineer (Electrical), all to be filled at Oil India’s Field Headquarters, Duliajan, with job responsibilities in production, exploration and field operations in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

Online registration starts on 08 May 2026 from 14:00 hours and closes on 08 June 2026 at 23:59 hours, while the Computer Based Test (CBT) is tentatively scheduled for 12 July 2026, with 08 June 2026 as the crucial date for determining age, qualification and other eligibility.

Only Persons with Benchmark Disabilities who are domiciled in the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh and meet the prescribed educational and trade/technical qualifications for the respective post codes are eligible to apply under this special drive.

Junior Technician posts require Class 10 pass plus an NCVT/SCVT Trade Certificate in the relevant trade (Electronics Mechanic, Fitter, Instrument Mechanic, Surveyor). Junior Office Assistant requires 10+2 plus a minimum 6‑month Diploma/Certificate in Computer Applications. Junior Engineer (Electrical) requires Class 10 plus a 3‑year Diploma in Electrical Engineering along with a valid Electrical Supervisor Competency Certificate for Parts 1, 2, 3 and 4.

The upper age limit as on 08 June 2026 is 40 years for General PwBD candidates, 45 years for SC/ST PwBD and 43 years for OBC (NCL) PwBD candidates, with additional relaxations for eligible ex‑servicemen, apprentices, work‑charged labourers and OIL departmental candidates as per rules.

There is no application fee for any category under this special recruitment drive, and all eligible PwBD candidates can apply online free of cost through the official Oil India website.

Selection is based on a single Computer Based Test (CBT) of 100 marks followed by document verification, with three sections—General English & General Awareness including questions on OIL (20 marks), Reasoning and Numerical/Mental Ability (20 marks), and Domain/Technical Knowledge (60 marks); the test has no negative marking, includes compensatory time for PwBD candidates and requires a minimum of 40 marks out of 100 to qualify.

Eligible PwBD candidates must visit the “Career at OIL → Current Openings” section on the official Oil India website, fill the online application form, upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, educational and disability certificates and other required documents, and finally submit and print the application for use at the document verification stage.
