IAF Agniveervayu Recruitment Rally 2026: Intake 01/2027 for Nagaland & Andaman & Nicobar Islands

It is an Open Recruitment Rally conducted by the Indian Air Force from 31 August to 07 September 2026 to select unmarried male and female candidates for Agniveervayu (Other Than Science Subjects) under Intake 01/2027, at Chumoukedima (Nagaland) and Sri Vijaya Puram (Andaman & Nicobar Islands).

The number of vacancies is not specified in the official notification. Enrolment will be based on state-wise merit and state-wise vacancy availability.

Candidates must be born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit as on the date of enrolment should not exceed 22 years.

Candidates must have passed 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent in any stream with minimum 50% aggregate and 50% in English, or a two-year Vocational Course, or a three-year Engineering Diploma in specified trades, each with the same minimum percentage criteria.

Candidates with permanent domicile of the districts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim are eligible for the Chumoukedima rally, while candidates with permanent domicile of the districts of the UT of Andaman & Nicobar Islands are eligible for the Sri Vijaya Puram rally. Certain children of Air Force personnel (COAFP-I/COAFP-II) are also eligible irrespective of domicile, subject to conditions.

No application fee for the rally itself is specified in the official notification. Only the Appeal Medical Board process carries a fee of ₹40.

Selection includes document verification, a Physical Fitness Test (1.6 Km run, push-ups, sit-ups, squats), a written test (English and Reasoning & General Awareness), Adaptability Test-I, Adaptability Test-II, and a medical examination.

Agniveervayu receive a monthly customised package starting at ₹30,000 in the 1st year and rising to ₹40,000 in the 4th year, plus Risk and Hardship, Dress, and Travel allowances, and other perks. A one-time Seva Nidhi package of approximately ₹10.04 lakh is paid on completion of the 4-year engagement.

This is a walk-in Open Recruitment Rally. Eligible candidates should report directly to the applicable rally venue on their scheduled reporting date with all required original documents; no separate online application process is mentioned in this notification.

The Provisional Select List is tentatively scheduled for 14 November 2026, and the Enrolment List is tentatively scheduled for 01 December 2026.
