Chhattisgarh High Court DEO Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 38 Data Entry Operator Posts

The Chhattisgarh High Court, Bilaspur has notified 38 vacancies for the post of Data Entry Operator (DEO) with a pay scale of Level‑6 of the Pay Matrix, ₹25,300 – ₹80,500, plus admissible state government allowances as per rules.

Online applications through the Chhattisgarh Vyapam portal open on 20 April 2026 and close on 12 May 2026, with an error‑correction window from 13 to 15 May 2026 up to 5:00 PM. The written exam is tentatively scheduled on Sunday, 28 June 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM at centres in Bilaspur and Raipur, and admit cards are expected to be released on 22 June 2026.

Out of 38 posts, 19 are Unreserved (including 5 for women), 7 for SC (including 2 women), 7 for ST (including 2 women) and 5 for OBC (including 1 woman). A total of 4 posts are horizontally reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PwD/Divyang) in categories such as OA, OL, OAL, BL, HH, LV, Muscular Dystrophy, Dwarfism, Leprosy Cured, Autism and Acid Attack Victim, as per state government norms.

Candidates must have at least a second class Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University in Computer Science or a related subject, OR a second class Bachelor’s Degree with PGDCA from a recognised University, OR a second class Bachelor’s Degree with ‘O’ level course from DOE (Department of Electronics), along with working knowledge of Unix/Open Source Software/Windows NT and office application suites.

As on 01.01.2026, the age limit is 21 to 30 years for General/non‑Chhattisgarh residents, and 21 to 40 years for bonafide residents of Chhattisgarh. SC/ST/OBC candidates of Chhattisgarh get 5 years relaxation, local women candidates get 10 years, government servants get an additional 5 years, and PwD candidates get relaxation as per GAD circular dated 27.09.2014, subject to an overall maximum age of 45 years including all relaxations.

Yes, candidates must have knowledge of Hindi and English typing, and preference is given to those who have passed a typewriting examination in both Hindi and English from a recognised board, which is particularly important for the Phase II Skill Test and tie‑breaking in the final merit list.

Candidates will be called for Phase II Skill Test in a 1:15 ratio against category‑wise vacancies based on their Phase I Written Test scores. After the Skill Test, a category‑wise merit list (SC/ST/OBC/UR, male/female and Divyang) will be prepared only on the basis of Skill Test marks, and in case of a tie, the older candidate (by date of birth) is ranked higher; if date of birth is also same, preference goes to those who have passed Hindi and English typewriting examinations from a recognised board.
