NIC/Digital India Internship

The National Informatics Centre (NIC) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) offers internships to students in IT, Computer Science, and related fields. Interns work on e-governance projects that power India's digital infrastructure.

This internship provides hands-on experience in building and maintaining government digital services including portals, mobile apps, and database systems used by millions of citizens.

• Indian nationals pursuing B.Tech/B.E/MCA/M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics
• Students in 3rd year or above of engineering programs
• Knowledge of web technologies, databases, and programming languages
• Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA

1. Check NIC website (nic.in) for internship openings
2. Register and apply through the designated NIC internship portal
3. Submit academic details, technical skills, and project preferences
4. Await shortlisting based on technical assessment

Selection involves screening of technical skills and academic record. Some positions may require a technical interview or coding test. Preference is given to students from NIT/IIT and other premier technical institutions.
