Frequently Asked Questions
When will the WBJEE 2026 Round 2 seat allotment result be released?
The WBJEE 2026 Round 2 seat allotment result is scheduled for July 21, 2026, as per the official WBJEEB counselling calendar.
What is the WBJEE Round 2 registration and choice filling date?
Round 2 registration and choice filling run from July 13 to July 17, 2026, on the WBJEEB portal at wbjeeb.nic.in.
Can I register for WBJEE Round 2 if I was not allotted a seat in Round 1?
Yes. Candidates who did not receive a seat in Round 1 can register afresh and fill choices for Round 2 during the July 13-17, 2026 window, without paying an additional counselling registration fee.
Do I have to pay the counselling registration fee again for Round 2?
No. The ₹500 counselling registration fee is charged only once per counselling cycle. It does not apply again for candidates continuing into Round 2 or Round 3.
What is the WBJEE seat acceptance fee for Round 2?
The seat acceptance fee is ₹5,000, payable online if you receive a seat allotment in Round 2. It must be paid within the acceptance window of July 21 to July 23, 2026.
What happens if I already accepted a seat in Round 1 - do I lose it if I fill choices in Round 2?
Not necessarily. If you accepted your Round 1 seat under the "Upgradation Yes" option, your current seat stays booked while the system checks whether you qualify for a higher preference in Round 2. If a better seat is allotted, it replaces your Round 1 seat; if not, you retain your original Round 1 allotment.
