SSB Odisha Librarian Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 225 Posts

State Selection Board, Odisha has announced 225 Librarian (Group B, Level 9) vacancies in Non‑Govt. Aided Colleges, out of which 67 posts are reserved for women.

The online application starts on 27 April 2026 at 2:30 PM and the last date to apply and pay fee online is 30 May 2026 up to 11:45 PM.

Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree in Library Science or an equivalent degree from a recognised institution. Degrees obtained from outside Odisha must be supported with equivalence/affiliation certificates wherever required.

Applicants must be 21 to 42 years as on 01.01.2026 (born not earlier than 01.01.1984 and not later than 01.01.2005). Upper‑age relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex‑Servicemen, 10 years for PwD (40% and above), and 15 years for PwD belonging to SC/ST/SEBC.

Yes. The candidate must be a citizen of India and a domicile of the State of Odisha, and must be able to read, write and speak Odia, having passed Odia as a language subject in HSC / equivalent or ME‑standard Odia test.

The application fee is ₹500 for General and SEBC candidates and ₹200 for SC, ST and PwD candidates, payable only through online mode within the application window.

Selection is purely based on a Written Test of 150 marks, consisting of 100 MCQs (1.5 marks each) of 2 hours duration. There is negative marking of 0.5 marks for each wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks are 40% for UR and 30% for SC/ST/SEBC/PwD candidates.

If two or more candidates secure the same written test marks, the tie is resolved first by higher aggregate percentage in Graduation/equivalent, and if still tied, by date of birth, giving preference to the older candidate.
