Retired Government servants who left service as SO/ASO in a Central Government Ministry or Department and who have at least 5 years of experience in Government Accounts.

What is the maximum age?

How is the monthly remuneration calculated?

It is your last basic pay drawn, minus your basic pension, plus the Transport Allowance that applied when you retired. The amount stays fixed for the whole contract.

Will my pension stop during the engagement?

No. You keep drawing pension and Dearness Relief on pension, and the engagement is not treated as re-employment.

Where will the Consultant be posted?

At the NMET office in New Delhi, working with the officers of the Finance & Accounts Division.

How long does the contract last?

One year at first. It may be extended or cut short based on need and performance, but never beyond 5 years after superannuation.

Good knowledge of GFR, DFPR and PFMS, and working skill in MS Word, MS Excel and Power Point. The job involves processing bills in PFMS and starting claim proposals in E-Office.

How much leave does the Consultant get?

Paid leave at 1.5 days for each completed month of service. Leave cannot be carried over beyond a calendar year.
