NIELIT Teaching Faculty Recruitment 2026 - Apply Offline for 68 Posts

NIELIT Faculty Recruitment 2026 is a contract‑based hiring drive for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor posts in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Humanities. The engagement is purely on contract basis for an initial period of one year, extendable based on performance and institute requirements.

NIELIT has advertised teaching positions at three levels: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor. These posts are spread across multiple NIELIT centres in streams like Electronics & Communication Engineering and allied branches, Computer Science & Engineering and allied branches, and Humanities (mainly Mathematics and related subjects).

The last date for receipt of offline application forms for NIELIT Faculty Recruitment 2026 is 01 June 2026. Applications reaching after this date, or without proper fee and documents, will be rejected and not considered for screening.

The maximum age limit for all advertised faculty posts (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor) is 50 years as on the last date of receipt of applications. Any age relaxation, if applicable as per Government of India rules, should be checked in the detailed notification by the candidates.

For Assistant Professor in Engineering branches, candidates must have B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech (or Integrated M.Tech) in the relevant branch with First Class or equivalent in at least one of the degrees, or B.E./B.Tech First Class with Ph.D in the relevant branch. For Humanities posts, a Master’s degree with 55% marks along with NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D as per UGC norms is required.

Associate Professor candidates should possess B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech with First Class in the relevant branch, preferably with Ph.D. They must also have a minimum of 6 years teaching/research experience, out of which at least 2 years should be post‑Ph.D, along with at least 6 research publications in reputed journals or equivalent academic contributions.

Professor posts require B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech with First Class along with a Ph.D in the relevant discipline. Candidates must have at least 10 years of teaching/research/industry experience, with a minimum of 3 years at the Associate Professor level, plus a good record of research publications (generally 6–10 or more) and experience of guiding Ph.D scholars as per the detailed norms.

For Assistant Professor posts, the consolidated monthly emoluments are in the range of Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 70,000 (CTC). For Associate Professor posts, the emoluments are in the range of Rs. 1,10,000 to Rs. 1,20,000 per month (CTC), while Professor posts carry consolidated emoluments of around Rs. 1,30,000 to Rs. 1,40,000 per month (CTC).
