What is the last date to apply for MEA Internship 2026 Term II?
The last date to apply is 27 September 2026, according to the official MEA timeline. Registration opened on 10 September 2026 through the Register link on internship.mea.gov.in.
Is the MEA internship paid?
Yes. Each intern receives an honorarium of ₹10,000 per month. The MEA also provides a one-time to-and-fro air travel cost, capped at the economy class fare between the State capital and Delhi. Board and lodging in Delhi are the intern's responsibility.
Can final-year students apply for the MEA internship?
Yes, but only if an internship is a mandatory part of the final-year curriculum of their graduation course.
Which states are covered in MEA Internship Term II 2026-27?
Term II covers Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal, along with the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Lakshadweep and Puducherry.
How many interns does the MEA select in each term?
A maximum of 30 interns are engaged in each term.
