MACS ARI Scientist-C Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online

There are 2 vacancies, both unreserved (UR). One is for Scientist- 'C' in the Genetics & Plant Breeding Group and one is for Scientist- 'C' in Developmental Biology.

The last date is 30 days from the date the advertisement is published in the Employment News. It is 45 days for candidates in the north-eastern states, Ladakh Division, Lahaul and Spiti, Pangi Sub Division, Andaman and Nicobar Island and Lakshadweep.

The Genetics & Plant Breeding post needs a First Class M.Sc in Agriculture with specialisation in Genetics and Plant Breeding or allied disciplines. The Developmental Biology post needs a First Class M.Sc in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related fields. Both posts also need four years of R&D experience, as evidenced by publications.

The upper age limit shall not exceed 40 years, worked out on the closing date for applications. Government servants and employees of autonomous research organisations, research institutes and universities get a relaxation of up to five years. SC, ST, OBC and other categories get a relaxation as per Central Government orders.

Scientist-C is at Level-11 in the pay matrix, Rs.67700-208700, plus allowances as admissible.

The fee is Rs.500/-, non-refundable, paid online through SBI Collect. SC/ST and women candidates are excepted from the fee.
