Ludhiana Court Clerk Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Offline for 56 Posts

District Court Ludhiana Clerk Recruitment 2026 is an offline recruitment drive for 56 Clerk posts on adhoc/temporary basis under Employment Notice No. 2 of 2026. The engagement is for six months or until regular appointments by the Hon’ble High Court, whichever is earlier.

A total of 56 Clerk vacancies have been notified in the Office of the District & Sessions Judge, Ludhiana. These posts are distributed among General, EWS, SC, BC/OBC, Ex‑Serviceman, Freedom Fighter and PwD categories as per Punjab government reservation rules.

The last date to submit the application form by post is June 6, 2026 up to 5:00 PM. Applications reaching after the cut‑off time, for any reason including postal delay, are liable to be rejected.

Selected candidates for the Clerk (Adhoc Basis) post will receive a fixed monthly salary of ₹29,200/-, as per the letter dated 12.09.2024 issued by the Punjab & Haryana High Court. No additional allowances or permanent service benefits are admissible for this adhoc engagement.

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Science (B.A./B.Sc.) or equivalent from a recognized university. In addition, candidates must have passed matriculation with Punjabi as one of the subjects and should have proficiency in operation of computers.

Candidates must be between 18 and 37 years of age as on January 1, 2026. Age relaxation will be applicable to candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC, BC/OBC, EWS, Ex‑Servicemen, PwD, etc.) as per the instructions of the Hon’ble High Court and Punjab Government.

The selection will be based on a written examination followed by a Computer Proficiency Test. The written test consists of English Composition (50 marks) and General Knowledge (50 marks), with a minimum 33% qualifying marks in each subject and 40% overall required for consideration. Shortlisted candidates (up to 10 times the vacancies) will then appear for a Computer Proficiency Test in Word Processing and Spreadsheet.

Candidates must download the prescribed application proforma from the official website ludhiana.dcourts.gov.in, fill it in CAPITAL LETTERS, and attach required documents and photographs. The completed application must be sent by post to the Office of the District & Sessions Judge, New Judicial Courts Complex, Ludhiana, in an envelope superscribed “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CLERK ON ADHOC BASIS” so as to reach by June 6, 2026 (5:00 PM).

Applicants should attach two passport‑size photographs (one pasted, one stapled) along with attested copies of: educational qualification certificates, matriculation certificate (for Punjabi and DOB), caste/category certificate, EWS/Ex‑Serviceman/Freedom Fighter/PwD certificate (if applicable), domicile/residence certificate, and a valid ID proof such as Aadhaar card. All documents must be self‑attested or attested as specified in the notice.

Reservation benefits are available only to candidates of Punjab domicile for categories such as EWS, Scheduled Caste, BC/OBC, Ex‑Serviceman and Freedom Fighter. Reserved category candidates from other states will be considered under General Category if they do not possess a valid Punjab domicile/category certificate issued by the competent authority.
