KVAFSU Teaching Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 96 Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor Posts

KVAFSU Teaching Recruitment 2026 is a direct recruitment drive for Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor posts in Veterinary, Dairy, Fisheries and allied subjects at KVAFSU, Bidar. A total of 96 teaching vacancies are notified across Kalyana Karnataka Cadre (371-J) and Residual Parent Cadre under the 2016 ICAR/UGC pay scale.

The notification was issued on 21 May 2026, and the online application starts from 22 May 2026 (10:00 AM). The last date for online submission of applications is 20 June 2026 (5:00 PM), and eligibility is calculated as on this date.

KVAFSU has announced 96 posts approximately, including Professor – 20 posts, Associate Professor – 22 posts, and Assistant Professor – 54 posts, distributed between Kalyana Karnataka Cadre and Residual Parent Cadre as per roster and subject-wise tables in the notification. For all teaching posts, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science / Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry / Dairy Science / Fisheries Science in the relevant discipline from a recognized SAU/SVU/Deemed/recognized university. Additionally, Professor and Associate Professor require a relevant Master’s degree (55% marks, 50% for SC/ST), Ph.D., research publications and prescribed experience, while Assistant Professor needs a relevant Master’s degree with NET or Ph.D. (as per UGC 2009/2016 NET exemption rules) along with other conditions mentioned in the KVAFSU score card guidelines.

Yes, knowledge of Kannada is mandatory for all KVAFSU teaching posts. Candidates who have not studied Kannada at SSLC (10th) level must qualify a Kannada Language Test (one paper, 150 marks, 50% qualifying, SSLC first language standard) before being called for interview.

The age limit is applicable only for Assistant Professor posts, where the upper age is 40 years for General Merit, 43 years for 2A/2B/3A/3B, and 45 years for SC/ST/Cat-I as on 20 June 2026. No specific upper age limit has been prescribed in the notification for Professor and Associate Professor posts; relaxation for in-service and other categories is as per Government of Karnataka rules.

The application fee is Rs. 1,000/- for GM, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B categories and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/Cat-I candidates, payable online only after submission of the application form. The fee is non-refundable, and a separate application with separate fee is required for each post applied for.

Selection is based on Academic Score / Score Card based shortlisting, followed by document verification and interview as per KVAFSU Prescribed Qualifications and Score Card guidelines (No:R/KVAFSU/ACM-CA/Teaching SCD/2025-26). Only details and documents submitted in the online application will be used to compute the Academic Score, and mere eligibility does not guarantee being called for interview.

Eligible candidates must apply online only through the KVAFSU recruitment portal available on the official website www.kvafsu.edu.in under Recruitment/Teaching Posts. After registration, candidates should fill the online form, upload required documents (photo, signature, certificates, KVC/VCI registration, reservation certificates, etc.), submit the application and then complete online fee payment; only then will the application be treated as valid.

Kalyana Karnataka Cadre (371-J) posts are reserved exclusively for local candidates of the Kalyana Karnataka region as per Article 371(J) provisions. Local candidates of Kalyana Karnataka can apply for both Local Cadre and Residual Parent Cadre posts, but those appointed in Residual Cadre will not be eligible to claim 371(J) reservation benefits during their entire service.
