JK Bank Apprentices Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Online for 614 Posts

Jammu & Kashmir Bank has announced 614 Apprentice vacancies under NATS for a 12‑month training period, with engagement in branches/offices across J&K, Ladakh and select metro clusters in the rest of India.

The online registration and fee payment window is from 20 April 2026 to 03 May 2026, and no applications will be accepted after 03 May 2026; the date of the online examination will be notified separately on the bank’s website.

There are 461 posts in the UT of J&K, 18 posts in the UT of Ladakh (8 Kargil, 10 Leh) and 135 posts in Rest of India clusters (Delhi – 42, Mumbai/Greater Mumbai – 26, Lucknow – 20, Bangalore – 19, Mohali – 28), with one post each in Delhi, Mumbai and Mohali reserved for PwBD on a horizontal basis.

Candidates must have Graduation from a recognised University/Institute, and should have passed their degree on or after 01 January 2022, with proficiency in the local/official language of the district/area (studied as a subject in Class 10 or 12).

The age limit is 20 to 28 years as on 01 January 2026 (i.e., candidates must not have been born earlier than 02.01.1998 and later than 01.01.2006), with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other reserved categories as per Government of India guidelines.

Apprentices receive a total monthly stipend of ₹13,500, comprising ₹9,000 from J&K Bank and ₹4,500 from the Government via DBT for eligible candidates below 35 years and first‑time apprentices, plus conveyance allowance up to ₹1,250 per month; no other allowances or benefits like DA/HRA are admissible.

Selection is based entirely on an Online Written Examination of 100 questions for 100 marks and 60 minutes, divided into General Awareness & English Comprehension (50 questions, 50 marks, 30 minutes) and Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning Ability (50 questions, 50 marks, 30 minutes), with 1/4th negative marking for each wrong answer; the exam is conducted only in English and district/region‑wise merit lists are prepared.

Yes, domiciles of UTs of J&K and Ladakh who successfully complete the apprenticeship will get 1‑year age relaxation for subsequent Banking Associate recruitment and bonus marks of 2.5% of maximum marks (i.e., 2.5 out of 100) in the online test, subject to the condition that the total marks do not exceed the maximum.

Candidates must first register on the NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in) and obtain an enrolment number, then apply via the J&K Bank careers page / IBPS link (ibpsreg.ibps.in/jkbamar26) between 20 and 03 May 2026, filling in personal and academic details, choosing one district/area only, uploading photo, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration, and paying the applicable fee online.

The non‑refundable application fee is ₹700 (including GST) for Unreserved (General) candidates and ₹500 (including GST) for reserved category candidates, payable only through online modes such as debit/credit cards, net banking, IMPS, cash cards or mobile wallets during 20–03 May 2026.
