Goa PSC Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 25 Assistant Engineer, Psychiatrist and More Posts

Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC), Panaji, has released Advertisement No. 05 Year 2026 dated 08 May 2026 for recruitment to various Group A and Group B posts in the Department of Environment and Climate Change, Public Health Department (Goa Dental College & Hospital and Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour), Town and Country Planning Department, and Department of Personnel.

The advertisement is published on 08 May 2026, the last date to apply online for all posts other than transfer on deputation is 22 May 2026, and the last date to apply online for transfer on deputation posts under the Department of Environment and Climate Change is 22 June 2026.

The notification includes Scientific Officer, Assistant Director, Assistant Engineer, Environmental Officer, and Dy. Director (Technical) by transfer on deputation in the Department of Environment and Climate Change, Lecturer posts in various Dental specialities at Goa Dental College & Hospital, Psychiatrist and Clinical Psychologist at the Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour, Dy. Town Planner in the Town and Country Planning Department, and Block Development Officer in the Department of Personnel.

Eligibility conditions are post‑specific and include requirements such as analogous posts on regular basis for deputation posts, dental qualifications with PG in relevant speciality for Lecturer posts, medical qualification with PG in Psychiatry for Psychiatrist, Master’s degree with M.Phil/clinical psychology diploma for Clinical Psychologist, degree in Regional/Town Planning with relevant experience for Dy. Town Planner, and any degree with knowledge of Konkani for Block Development Officer, along with other experience and desirable qualifications as stated in the official notification.

Knowledge of Konkani is essential for most Goa PSC posts notified under Advertisement No. 05 Year 2026, while knowledge of Marathi is desirable and may be listed as a desirable qualification for certain posts; in specific Group A professional and consultant posts, the Government may relax the Konkani requirement on the recommendation of GPSC if suitable candidates are not available.

For most direct recruitment posts such as Lecturers, Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Dy. Town Planner, and Block Development Officer, the upper age limit is generally not exceeding 45 years as mentioned in the notification, while deputation posts follow the rules applicable for transfer on deputation and existing pay matrix levels.

Candidates have to apply online only through the official Goa Public Service Commission website by accessing the online application link or via the Government of Goa CBES portal, filling in all required details, uploading documents, and paying the application fee within the prescribed last date.

Applicants must pay the prescribed application fee either through online payment on the portal or via offline mode using e‑challan at any SBI branch in Goa, where the e‑challan remains valid for a limited period (generally 7 days) and the stamped challan must reach the Commission’s office on or before the last date; applications with fee paid after the last date are liable to be rejected with no refund.
