Central University of Kerala Teaching Recruitment 2026 - 48 Vacancies for Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor

The last date to submit the online application is 10 July 2026 at 11:59 PM. However, candidates must also ensure the hard copy of the application reaches the Recruitment Cell, Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod, by 25 July 2026 at 5:00 PM.

There are 48 teaching vacancies in total — 30 posts under the regular department notification (Non-ITEP) and 18 posts under the ITEP (School of Education) notification. Posts are at Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor levels.

The online application fee is Rs. 2,000/-. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories are fully exempted from the fee. Payment is accepted online through Credit/Debit Card, NEFT, or Net Banking. The fee is non-refundable.

Yes, submission of a hard copy is mandatory for both notifications. Applications will be summarily rejected if the hard copy with all supporting documents is not received at the Recruitment Cell before 5:00 PM on 25 July 2026.

The Professor post carries Academic Level 14 with a pay scale of Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200. Associate Professor is at Academic Level 13A (Rs. 1,31,400 – 2,17,100) and Assistant Professor at Academic Level 10 (Rs. 57,700 – 1,82,400).

The essential qualification for most posts requires a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point-scale) at the Master's level. A relaxation of 5% (to 50%) is available for SC/ST/PwBD/OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates. Ph.D. holders who completed their Master's degree before 19 September 1991 also get this 5% relaxation.

ITEP Assistant Professor candidates need: (i) a PG degree in the relevant subject with at least 55%; (ii) a B.Ed degree with at least 55%; and (iii) either NET qualification or a Ph.D in Education or the concerned subject. For Educational Studies posts, an M.Ed with at least 55% plus NET or Ph.D is required.

Applications must be submitted online at https://curec.samarth.ac.in (the CU Chayan Portal). No other mode of application is accepted. After completing the online form, the hard copy must be posted to the Recruitment Cell, Central University of Kerala, Tejaswini Hills, Periye, Kasaragod, Kerala – 671325.

The notification does not specify any age limit for these teaching posts.

Yes. A previous advertisement (CUK/EST/RECRT/TEACH/2023 dated 05 June 2023) for Professor (04), Associate Professor (02) and Assistant Professor (04) posts has been cancelled on administrative grounds. Candidates who had applied against that advertisement and wish to be considered for the fresh posts must apply afresh. However, they need not pay the application fee again if they had already paid for the cancelled advertisement.
