During the probation period (2 years on duty within 3 years), selected candidates receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹75,000. After successful probation completion, the regular Time Scale of Pay under RPS-2022 (starting at ₹86,245) applies.

Selection is based solely on a Computer Based Test (CBT) of 100 marks — there is no interview. The exam covers Core subject (70 marks) plus General Intelligence, General Awareness, English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Computer Knowledge (30 marks combined). There are no negative marks.
