It is a recruitment drive by the Reserve Bank of India (Advt. No. RBI/TMD1/YP/06/2026-27/01) to engage 12 Young Professionals on a contractual basis across 12 specialized work areas in its Central Office Departments in Mumbai. The positions span domains including AI, Quantum Technology, Cyber Security, Climate Risk, Payment Systems, Financial Markets, and Data Analytics.

All selected Young Professionals will receive a fixed monthly stipend of ₹1,50,000, subject to applicable tax deductions. No additional allowances, HRA, PF, or other benefits are provided.

Candidates must be above 21 years and not more than 30 years of age as on July 6, 2026 (the last date of application). This age limit applies uniformly to all 12 positions.

No. This is strictly a contractual engagement. The initial contract is for 3 years, extendable up to a maximum of 5 years based on mutual agreement and performance. It does not constitute a regular appointment, and YPs have no right to claim permanent employment at RBI.

Yes. The work experience requirements under each post are desirable, not mandatory. Fresh postgraduates who meet the essential educational qualification can apply. However, candidates with relevant work experience will have a stronger profile.
