When is the Income Tax ITO/ITI Departmental Exam 2026?
The ITO and ITI Departmental Examination 2026 is scheduled from 5 October to 9 October 2026. The ITO exam is held in the morning session (10:30 AM – 12:30 PM) and the ITI exam in the afternoon session (2:30 PM – 4:30 PM) each day.
When is the Ministerial Staff (MS) Exam 2026?
The Ministerial Staff Departmental Examination 2026 will be held from 28 September to 1 October 2026, mostly in the morning session, with Paper-V (Rajbhasha Hindi) in the afternoon on 1 October 2026.
How can I apply for the Income Tax Departmental Exam 2026?
Candidates must apply online at www.incometaxindia.gov.in between 1 July 2026 (10:00 AM) and 21 July 2026 (8:00 PM). After submitting online, a printout must also be submitted to the In-charge of Examination for physical verification.
Is there an age limit for the ITO/ITI/MS Departmental Exam 2026?
No. The Departmental Examination Rules, 2026 do not prescribe any age limit for candidates appearing in the ITO, ITI, or Ministerial Staff examinations.
How many attempts are allowed for the Departmental Exam 2026?
All candidates, including those in SC/ST/PwBD categories availing betterment, are allowed a maximum of 10 attempts. The MS Examination in 2026 will be counted as the first attempt for all candidates appearing in it.
