BSNL JTO Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Online Link Activated for 100 Junior Telecom Officer Posts

BSNL JTO Recruitment 2026 is a direct recruitment drive for Junior Telecom Officer (Telecom) [JTO(T)-DR] posts in Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited from the open market. A total of 100 vacancies will be filled across various BSNL Circles under Advt. No. BSNLCO-11/12(11)/1/2026-RECTT-CO.

There are 100 JTO (Telecom) vacancies distributed circle‑wise across BSNL’s territorial units. Major circles with higher intake include Karnataka (26 posts), Kerala (15 posts), Maharashtra (16 posts) and Madhya Pradesh (10 posts), while other circles have 1–6 posts each as per Table‑A.

The online registration starts from 4 June 2026 at 10:00 AM and ends on 3 July 2026 at 10:00 AM. Candidates can edit their applications from 4 July 2026 (10:00 AM) to 11 July 2026 (10:00 AM), and the Computer Based Test (CBT) is tentatively scheduled in August 2026.

For the Telecom stream, candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech degree (or equivalent) in Telecommunications, Electronics, Radio, Computer, Electrical, IT or Instrumentation from a recognized institution. Alternatively, M.Sc. (Electronics) or M.Sc. (Computer Science) degree holders are also eligible, and those with M.Tech in the prescribed disciplines may also apply.

The basic age limit is 20 to 30 years as on the closing date of application. Relaxations apply as follows: OBC (NCL) up to 33 years, SC/ST up to 35 years, PwBD up to 40–45 years, and further relaxations for Ex‑Servicemen and BSNL employees as per Central Government and BSNL rules.

Selected JTO (Telecom) candidates will be appointed in the IDA Pay Scale E‑1: ₹16,400 – ₹40,500 (2nd PRC, w.e.f. 01.01.2007) with usual allowances as admissible. They will be on a two‑year probation and must execute a service bond of ₹6 lakhs to serve BSNL for a minimum period of 5 years from the date of appointment.

Selection is through a Computer Based Test (CBT) of 3 hours, containing 120 objective questions for 480 marks. Section I: Engineering Stream–I – 50 questions, 200 marks Section II: Engineering Stream–II – 50 questions, 200 marks Section III: General Ability Test – 20 questions, 80 marks Each correct answer carries +4 marks, and each wrong answer attracts –1 mark (negative marking).

Candidates must secure at least 40% marks in each section individually. Overall, UR/OBC (Creamy Layer) candidates must obtain 50% aggregate, while SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD/EWS candidates need at least 45% aggregate across all three sections to be considered for merit list preparation.

The examination fee is ₹2,000 for UR/OBC/EWS candidates and ₹1,000 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. The fee is non‑refundable and must be paid online only via Internet Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card on www.externalexam.bsnl.co.in.

Eligible Indian nationals must apply online only at www.externalexam.bsnl.co.in during the registration window. Candidates should register with a valid mobile number and email ID, upload scanned photo and signature, fill academic and personal details, select up to 21 Circle preferences, pay the online fee, and finally print and retain the registered application for future reference. An editing window from 4–11 July 2026 allows limited corrections, but Circle preferences and some critical fields may not be editable.
