BFUHS Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 – 454 Pharmacy Officer Posts, Apply Online by 1 July 2026

The last date to submit the online application for BFUHS Pharmacist (Pharmacy Officer) Recruitment 2026 is 1 July 2026. Applications must be submitted at bfuhs.ac.in.

A total of 454 posts are available - comprising 348 fresh vacancies and 106 backlog posts — across multiple reservation categories under the Punjab Health and Family Welfare Department.

The age limit is 18 to 37 years as on 1 January 2026. SC/BC candidates get 5 years relaxation, Physically Handicapped get 10 years, and government employees can apply up to 45 years.

Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Science, hold a Diploma in Pharmacy or B.Pharm or Pharm.D from a recognised institution, and be registered with the Punjab Pharmacy Council under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.

The fee is ₹2,360/- for all categories except SC (₹2,000 + 18% GST) and ₹1,180/- for SC category candidates (₹1,000 + 18% GST). The fee is non-refundable.

The initial pay is ₹29,200/- at Pay Level 5 under the 7th Central Pay Commission. Additional allowances are governed by Punjab Government and Department of Health service rules.

Selection is based on a written exam (90 marks) + experience marks (10 marks) = 100 marks total, plus a mandatory Punjabi Language qualifying test (minimum 50% required). Final selection is on inter-se merit subject to Punjab Government reservation rules.

Yes. Candidates must pass a Punjabi Language qualifying test at Matriculation level with at least 50% marks. Failing this test disqualifies the candidate from the final merit list regardless of their performance in other papers.

The written examination is conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot. Candidates scoring below 33% in the written test will be declared ineligible.
