It can be beneficial to share your Game Pass subscription with someone else because it's necessary to play online games. If you designate another person's Xbox One console as your Home Console, you can still take advantage of the subscription on that console.

Gamesharing on Xbox One

  1. First, use your Xbox account username and password to log into your friend's Xbox One.
  2. Ensure that it is configured as your home console.

  4. Choose "+ Add new" after navigating to the Guide's left panel.
  5. Use your email address and password or your Xbox account username to log in.
  6. Open the Guide once more after logging in, then navigate to the right panel. Select Settings.
  7. You can also use voice commands, such as "Xbox, go to Settings" or "Hey, Cortana," if you have a Kinect. Access the Settings."

Gamesharing on Xbox Series X

Gamesharing on Microsoft's Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S is similar to Xbox One, but with some key differences.

  1. To access your Xbox Series console, find a trusted friend with the same console.
  2. Share your login information with them, and use it to log into their console.
  3. Set it as your "Home Console" and enjoy shared games on both consoles.
  4. Remember to only share your login information with trusted friends and never give it to strangers to maintain your account security.

Things You Should Know Before Gamesharing

  • To gameshare, only share your Xbox with trusted friends or family members and avoid giving your login details to strangers.
  • Keep your payment info safe as your friend can make purchases with your account.
  • Set your Xbox as your "Home Xbox" to access games offline, and ensure your internet connection is available when your internet goes out.
  • Set up gamesharing again five times a year when switching consoles.
  • Choose wisely and regularly share with one friend to avoid account lockout.
