Location : Pune
This is a 6 month internship contract. The individual is expected to work on development of tools relevant to the team. It is also expected that during this period the individual will identify and file bug reports about the software being worked upon. This position does not allow remote working and it is expected that the selected candidate will be available at the local office during work hours. A stated end result of this association would be that that this individual will be able to develop a relationship with the Free Software community during the course of their job.
Students who can commit to the work hours or, fresh graduates who meet the criteria are welcome to apply.
* Exposure to Free and Open Source communities of work
* Prior participation in coding competitions
* Strong fundamentals of algorithms
* Interest in handling large data sets
* Strong fundamentals in statistics and quantitative analysis based upon statistical methods
* Has worked on Linux/knows how to develop/code on Linux systems
* Familiarity with Python and mathematical libraries/graphing libraries
* Familiarity with R is a plus
