## Partnership Questions

Given

Ratio of A and B = 2 : 3

A started a business with Rs 3500

After 5 months only B joined

Let B's capital be Rs.*x*.

= A's captial * A's Time period /B's time period ( 12 - 5)

= ( 3500 * 12 ) / 7 x = 2 / 3

= 14 x = 126000

=> x = 9000.

B's contribution in captial = 9000Rs.

A: B : C = 500 : 300 : 200

= 5 : 3 : 2.

Let their capitals be 5x, 3x and 2x respectively.

Then, 5x = 10000

=> **x = 2000.**

C'captial =2x

= 2 * 2000

=** Rs.4000.
C's captial =Rs.4000.**

Given, Ratio of amount invested by A and B = 3 : 5 (for 12 months)

C invested amount equal to B for 6 months = 5 parts for 6 months

**Profit distributed among A,B and C = Ratio of investment of A , B and C**

= (3 x 12) : (5 x 12) : (5 x 6)

= 6 : 10 : 5

Therefore,**Profit distributed among A, B and C =6 : 10 : 5**

B puts 12 oxen for 5 months and

C puts 15 oxen for 3 months

=> Ratio of share of rent of A, B and C is:

A : B : C = (10 * 7) : (12 * 5) : (15 * 3)

= 14 : 12 : 9

Given,rent of the pasture is Rs 175

Then,

**C's Share of rent =**[9/ (14 + 12 + 9)] * 175

= (9 / 35) * 175

= Rs. 45

Therefore,

**C's Share of rent = Rs. 45.**

Kamal invested Rs 4,000 for 8 months and

Vinay invested Rs 8,000 for 8 months.

**Ratio of Profit earned = Ratio of (Amount invested * No. of months in bussiness)**

=> Arun: Kamal : Vinay = (8,000 * 6) : (4,000 * 8) : (8,000 * 8)

=> Arun: Kamal : Vinay = 3 : 2 : 4

Therefore,

**share of Kamal =**[2 / (3 + 2 + 4)] * 4005

= (2/9) * 4005

= Rs. 890

=>

**Share of Kamal =Rs. 890**

B invested = Rs. 15,000 for 24 months

C invested = Rs. 20,000 for 18 months (Since C joined after 6 months, 24 - 6 = 18 months)

**Ratio of A, B and C's investment**= (20,000 * 24) : (15,000 * 24) : (20,000 * 18)

= (20 * 24) : (15 * 24) : (20 * 18)

=

**4 : 3 : 3**

=> A, B, C's part of investment = 4 : 3 : 3

=> A, B, C's part of investment = 4 : 3 : 3

Given , Total profit = Rs. 25,000

**B's share = (B's invested Part/ Total invested part) * 25,000**

[3/ (4 + 3 + 3)] * 25,000

= [3/10] * 25,000

**= 7500**

Thus,

**B = Rs. 7500**

Simran : Nanda = (50000 x 36) : (80000 x 30) = 3 : 4

Simran's share = Rs 24500*(3/7) = Rs 10,500

Kamal invested

**Rs 9000**for 12 months and Sameer invested

**Rs 8000**for 7 months.

Kamal:Sameer = (9000*12):(8000*7)

= 108:56

=

**27:14**

Kamal and Sameerearn a

**profit of Rs. 6970**

Sameer Ratio in profit will be

= (6970∗14 / 41)

= 170 * 14

=

**Rs 2380.**

Share of Sameer in profit =

Share of Sameer in profit =

**Rs 2380.**

Then, ( 85000 x 12 / 42500 x 3 )

= 1020000 / 127500

= 8

So, B joined for 8 months.

A = Rs20,000

B =Rs.15,000

**A : B : C**

= (20,000 x 24) : (15,000 x 24) : (20,000 x 18) = 4 : 3 : 3.

B's share = Rs. ( 25000 x 3 / 10 )

= 75000 / 10

= Rs 7500

= Rs. 7,500.

Henryputs 72 goats for 7 months and

Abrahamputs 144 goats for 21 months

=> Ratio of share of rent of John,Henry andAbraham is:

John : Henry : Abraham = (90 * 14) : (72* 7) : (144 * 21)

= (15 * 2) : (12 * 1) : (28 * 3)

= 15 : 6 : 14 * 3

=

**5 : 2 : 14**

Given, rent of the grassland = Rs 21840

Then, Abraham's Share of rent = [14/ (5 + 2 + 14)] * 21840

= (14 / 21) * 21840

= 2/3 *21840

=

**Rs. 14,560**

Therefore, Abraham'sShare of rent =

**Rs. 14,560**

A : B : C = (3x x 12) : (5x x 12) : (5x x 6) = 36 : 60 : 30 = 6 : 10 : 5.

Let B's capital be Rs. x.

A'scapital = Rs. 3500 for 12 months

B joins with after 5 months, so B contributed the capital for 7 months.

Given. A : B =2 : 3

=> 3500 x 12 / 7x = 2/3

=> 3500 x 12 x 3 = 2 x7x

=>14x = 126000

=>**x = 9000**
