Indian teacher Nominated for ‘Global Teacher Prize’


Robin Chaurasiya from Mumbai who founded the NGO Kranti, has been short-listed as one of the top-10 finalists for this years Global Teacher Prize – the Nobel Prize of teaching. 30-year-old Chaurasiya who was born in Los Angeles and served with the US Air Force for several years, which she was forced to leave because of her sexuality. Other nominees include teachers from the United States, Britain, Finland, Australia, Kenya, Japan, Palestinian and Pakistan.
