Applicants can submit the PAN Card application online through NSDL website. The submission of PAN Card application online is very simple. Alternatively the PAN Card Application forms can also be downloaded from the NSDL website. Follow the steps to submit PAN Card application through NSDL website.

  • Visit the NSDL website.
  • PAN Card Application page is displayed.
  • Applicants should fill the online PAN Card Application with accurate details.

  • On submission, acknowledgement receipt is provided. It should be printed out and submitted at the NSDL branches along with necessary copies of proof documents.

How to Apply for PAN Card through Offline Mode?

One can request for making any changes either by submitting PAN Card Application online or by filling and submitting the application form at the UTI or NSDL centres.   • Choose “services”.
  • Choose PAN Card in the drop down box.

  • Alternatively one can download the CSF form from the UTI or NSDL website and duly fill in the details and submit it at the respective centres.

What are Corrections that can be Done using CSF PAN Card Application?

PAN Card process is handled by many at different stages. So there are chances for the errors to occur. When the physical PAN Card is received, one need not panic seeing the errors in the PAN. PAN Card details may have errors when it reaches the applicant and this can be rectified by applying for change of details. This is done in the same procedure of application of PAN card. PAN number must also be mentioned in the application form and necessary supporting documents are to be submitted.CSF PAN Card Application is submitted for making changes or updating any information in the PAN details. The following are some of the corrections to be made in the PAN when there is any mismatch of information.

1.Name Correction

There are chances for any spelling errors when the printed PAN Card is received. One may modify the errors by sending the PAN application again by filling in the correct spelling. The applicant must also submit the copy of the correct document supporting the name correction. The new PAN is obtained after all the verification is done.

2.Address Correction

One can also apply for the change in the address if there are any mistakes in the address or when the existing cardholder shifts to the new place. During shifting to a new place, one must update the current details by submitting the CSF PAN Card Application. Proper supporting document copy must be submitted along with the application form.

3.Date of Birth Correction

There are chances for mistakes in the PAN details because the issue of PAN Card involves many stages of processing. So if there are any mistake in the date of birth, one can apply for the change using the CSF form. Any document supporting the date of birth of the applicant must also be submitted.

What is the Cost for Applying PAN Card and the Benefits of Applying PAN ?

One has to pay Rs.110 for applying for a new PAN Card as the processing Charge to the UTI. In case of NRI, where the foreign address is provided as the address of communication, then the applicant must pay Rs.1017 to the UTI for the processing of the PAN Card. Along with the cost, the applicants will be charged a percentage of GST nowadays.

There are many benefits in applying the PAN Card. Some of the benefits are as follows.

  • PAN Card serves as the proof of Identity of the people and can be used in many places to avail many services like bank account opening, purchasing a mobile sim card, purchasing any item which exceeds specified limits, etc.

How to Apply PAN Card for a Foreign Citizen through Online Mode ?

Foreign Citizens who involves in any business in India, then he/she is required to apply for a PAN Card. As they involve in many business transactions which exceeds Rs.50000, PAN Card becomes mandatory. Applying PAN Card is easy through online mode.

  • Visit the NSDL portal.

  • Choose the application type as for NRI choose as “New PAN - Foreign Citizen Form 49AA”.

  • Choose  category to mention whether the new PAN is for individual, company, trust or HUF.

  • Choose the title and enter the surname, middle name and last name.

  • Enter date of birth, email id, passport number, address, mobile number and all other mandatory information.

  • Also provide details of the passport.

  • Enter the security code and click “Submit”.

  • Payment page is opened. Payment must be made either through net banking, credit or debit card.

  • On successful payment, the acknowledgement receipt is displayed.

  • It must be printed and submitted at the NSDL centre along with the necessary document copies.

    To apply PAN for foreign citizens through UTI website, follow the below steps.

  • Open the UTIITSL official website.

  • Under the “Services” menu, choose “PAN”.

  • Choose “Apply as a foreign citizen”.

  • Select  “Application for new PAN card”.

  • Online application page is opened in which one has enter the required details for applying.

  • Click “Submit” and it is diverted to the payment page.

  • On successful payment, the acknowledgement receipt is displayed.

  • It must be printed and submitted at the UTI centre along with the necessary document copies.
