The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom
"The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" is a Nintendo Switch action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo in 2023. It serves as a sequel to "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" and expands upon the open world concept, introducing a larger and more vertically expansive version of Hyrule. The game follows Link as he assists Princess Zelda in defending Hyrule from the destructive ambitions of Ganondorf.
The concept for "Tears of the Kingdom" originated when the downloadable content (DLC) plans for "Breath of the Wild" grew too extensive. Nintendo's Entertainment Planning & Development (EPD) division took the lead in developing the game, with director Hidemaro Fujibayashi and producer Eiji Aonuma returning to their respective roles. A teaser for the game was revealed at E3 2019, followed by a full unveiling at E3 2021.
Initially slated for release in 2022, the game's launch was later delayed, and it finally became available in May 2023. It has garnered widespread acclaim for its improvements, expanded open world, and emphasis on exploration and experimentation. As of May 2023, "Tears of the Kingdom" has sold over 10 million units.

Zelda Tears of The Kingdom Gameplay
In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the gameplay follows the open-world action-adventure style of its predecessor, Breath of the Wild (2017). Players control Link as they explore Hyrule, including two new areas called the Sky Islands and the Depths. The game revolves around finding weapons, and resources, and completing quests.
Various modes of exploration are available, such as walking, running, horse riding, climbing, and utilizing the paraglider. A new addition to Tears of the Kingdom is the introduction of Zonai devices, technological tools that players can utilize for combat, propulsion, exploration, and more. The previous runes from the game have been replaced by five new powers: Ultrahand, Fuse, Ascend, Recall, and Autobuild.
Ultrahand allows the player to manipulate and combine different objects, including the ability to attach objects to the Zonai devices to create various vehicles or constructs. Fuse enables Link to enhance the attributes and durability of shields or weapons by combining materials, equipment, or specific objects. Autobuild quickly reconstructs a device crafted with Ultrahand, using zonate as a cost.
Ascend allows Link to move upwards through solid surfaces, and Recall enables the "rewinding" of an object's movement. Shrines and Korok Seeds, familiar elements from the previous game, also make a return. Clearing Shrines grants players a Light of Blessing, and obtaining four of these lights allows Link to increase either his heart capacity by one or expand his stamina wheel.
Korok Seeds can be collected to expand Link's inventory, allowing him to carry more melee weapons, shields, or bows. The Depths, accessed through chasms on the surface, present a new challenge in the form of a goopy substance called Gloom. Enemies in the Depths are covered in Gloom, and prolonged contact with it or being attacked by Gloom-covered enemies temporarily decreases Link's health by one heart.
To regain maximum health, Link must either return to the Surface or find a Lightroot, a large light-emitting plant within the Depths. Tears of the Kingdom offers players an expansive open-world adventure with new gameplay mechanics, areas to explore, and challenges to overcome.
