Resident Evil 4 Remake

Resident Evil 4 has been remade and released by Capcom on March 24, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. This survival horror game is a new version of the 2005 game with the same name. Players will control the character Leon S. Kennedy, a US agent who has to rescue Ashley Graham, the daughter of the US president, from the sinister cult called Los Iluminados.

The game is set six years after the events in Resident Evil 2, where the players will face various characters like Ada Wong, Ingrid Hunnigan, and Luis Serra, and antagonists such as Bitores Mendez, Ramon Salazar, Jack Krauser, and Osmund Saddler. The story takes place in a Spanish village, controlled by a violent cult.

The first teaser trailer was released in June 2022 as part of PlayStation's State of Play event. The game features support for PS VR2.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Chicago Sweeper

Chicago Sweeper is a weapon introduced in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

The Chicago Sweeper becomes available in your Typewriter Storage once you have completed the Leon  A. Kennedy Challenge, which involves finishing the main story on Professional difficulty with an A rank. Once obtained, the weapon can be sold to the Merchant for 25,000 Pesetas and then repurchased for 50,000 Pesetas.

Compared to the original Chicago Typewriter, which had a laser sight and a power rating of 10.0, the Chicago Sweeper is a step-down. However, both weapons have unlimited ammo and are considered among the game's best.

With a power rating of only 2.0 and low accuracy, the Chicago Sweeper is more in line with the game's other submachine guns. It's most effective at close to mid-range, so accuracy is essential to make the most of this weapon.

Step-by-Step Guide to Unlock Chicago Sweeper

To unlock the Chicago Sweeper in Resident Evil 4 Remake, you need to complete the game on Professional difficulty with an A-rank. Here's how you can achieve it:

Attempt A-Rank in New Game+

Since finishing the game on Professional difficulty can be challenging, it is best to try for an A-rank in the New Game+ mode. This mode allows you to carry over your weapon upgrades and currency from the previous playthrough.

Consider Purchasing the Infinite Rocket Launcher

If you have enough cash, you can purchase the Infinite Rocket Launcher from the Merchant. However, using this weapon will prevent you from getting an S+ rating.

Collect the Chicago Sweeper from the Typewriter Storage

Once you have unlocked the Chicago Sweeper, you can get it from your Typewriter Storage. The weapon can be upgraded conventionally, with level 5 being the maximum for damage, reload speed, and magazine size. You can also purchase an Exclusive upgrade for the weapon by spending an additional 10,000 Pesetas.

Save Up Spinels for Exclusive Upgrade

If you want to skip the other upgrades and go straight to the Exclusive upgrade, you can purchase an Exclusive Upgrade Ticket for 30 Spinels from the Merchant. However, Spinels are hard to come by, so spend them wisely.

The Chicago Sweeper's Advantages

The Chicago Sweeper is comparable to other submachine guns in the game in terms of damage output, but having infinite ammo makes it a strong contender for one of the best weapons in Resident Evil 4 Remake.
