Kingdom Come: Deliverance was set in the Imperial state of the medieval  Kingdom of Bohemia. This game focuses on accurate historical content. The plot of the game occurs in Bohemia in 1403, during the reign of King Wenceslaus IV. Cuman mercenaries invade the mining village of Skalitz, a significant source of silver, on the orders of Hungarian king Sigismund, Wenceslaus' half-brother. Henry, the son of a blacksmith, is among the survivors of the ensuing carnage. Henry, who is destitute and angry, joins the army of Lord Radzig Kobyla, the head of the resistance to Sigismund's invasion. In an effort to take revenge for the murder of his family, Henry joins a campaign to put Wenceslaus IV, Sigismund's half-brother, and Bohemia's real king, back on the throne.

The game allows the players to choose any role like a warrior, thief, bard, or a hybrid of these. They can customize their skills. The abilities and stats of the player depend on the actions of the player and what the player talk through dialogue trees. The player has to take limited time to take decisions during the conversations. The player’s reputation would be based on the decision and choices of the player.
