Her album, Secret Combination (1981), stayed on the UK Albums Chart for sixty weeks. In 1995, Crawford recorded Naked And True which brought her back to her roots and confirmed. She showcased her soul roots by collaborating with renowned artists such as Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worrell, and the Fred Wesley Horns, who are all associated with the band Funkadelic.
