Key Accountabilities :-
Be accountable for component integrity of turbine components
Perform finite element analysis using FE packages such as SC03 and ABAQUS
Perform integrity assessment of components using existing methods and processes
Implement component validation using specimen and component rig test and engine test data
Underwrite proposed design concepts based on movements, strength, lifing and dynamic assessments
Support Design Review gates, stress technical reviews, project reviews and present results and analysis findings
Coordinate and liaise with design / make partners and off-load resource suppliers for analysis and testing of components
Participate in methods development and improving analysis processes.
Own stress solutions, from requirements through support to manufacture and development, working within an integrated programme team.
Provide stress support to new product development and resolution of issues with existing service engines.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, in mechanical or a related discipline.
Previous stress analysis experience within the Aerospace Industry is desirable.
Appropriate training and professional development opportunities will be offered to support career growth. You will be a Chartered Engineer, or working towards CEng with the Engineering Council, although not essential.
The ability to plan and manage your own work and that of others, as required is essential.
You will also be expected to support future strategy development and continuous improvement initiatives in addition to your normal duties.
