Understands and defines design methodologies across all design flow – custom (schematic entry, simulation, layout creation and verification) and semi-custom (RTL analysis, design verification, Synthesis, Place and route, STA, dynamic IR, physical verification).
Must be able to identify methodology gaps and improvements and provide automation to perform all design activities in the most efficient and correct by construction way. Able to evaluate a solution from multiple available options, and is able to perform tradeoff between technical features and cost.
Follows standard practices and procedure in analyzing and in determining a solution for a situation or data.
Assignments consist of specific tasks composed of a series of specific steps or operations and are often in support of higher-level professionals and broader assignments.
The work is designed to develop professional knowledge and ability.
CAD Engineers execute plans made by higher level professionals and may plan own technical work.
Requires BS Engineering Degree or equivalent.
Experience in hardware management and scripting is desired.
Need to understand basic devices structures and it’s functionality.
Have basic understanding of RTL coding and how the RTL2GDS flow works.
Person should be good in aptitude, debugging and have a knack in automation.
Person will be working on EDA tools evaluation, deployment and support along with defining design methodologies.
Need to understand SW organization and architecture to guide the team for quality software.
