. Ensure all Reported incidents/Problems/Change are closed within the SLA’s (70%). Timely Escalations of required incidents to L3 support team and ensuring closure of L2 incidents within agreed SLA’s (25%).
. Service Improvements – To suggest service improvements like scripting to automate manual tasks, proactive monitoring etc (5%)
. Current knowledge and hands on experience of VMware ESXi 3.5, 4.0,4.1 and 5.0, Virtual Center, Citrix XenDesktop software technologies as well as HP and Cisco UCS server hardware technologies
. VMware Certified Professional preferred
. Working knowledge and demonstrable experience of supporting MS Windows and/or RHEL on virtual platforms.
. Experience working with MS SQL and Power Shell an advantage
. Exposure to OpenStack Cloud OS and Linux KVM an advantage.
. Structured technical problem solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
. Experience working with Service Now an advantage.
. Strong customer liaison and relationship management skills.
. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
. Must be able to work under pressure, take clear ownership of issues and drive to ensure successful closure for the customer, peers and IT Production.
. Comfortable to work in 24*7/shifts environment.
. Adaptable with the ability to learn the process quickly.
