Sub: Posting of CEO /2E0 as Technical Superintendent On-Staff in Bulk Carrier Dept
The Shipping Corporation Of India Ltd., a Navratna PSU, has a significant presence on the global maritime map. sCI occupies the Numero Uno position with its large and diversified fleet, operating in nearly all segments of shipping viz. Container services, liquid and dry bulk services, offshore services, passenger services and break-bulk services. The Company also mans and manages vessels on behalf of various Government bodies.
1. Position: Technical Superintendent
2. Requirement: 03 Nos.
3. Depending on the performance in interview and availability, priority shall be given in selecting CEOs. However, in case of inadequate response/selection of CEOs, 2E0s shall be considered.
4. Eligibility:
- Should be regular SCI office
- Should not have sailed/worked with any other shipping company.
- Should have completed minimum 6 months sea time after obtaining COC of MEO Class I and
- Class II for the post of CEO and 2E0 as Technical Superintendent On-Staff respectively.
- Should have worked in SCI bulk carriers as CEO/2E0 Officer for minimum 6 months.
Terms and Conditions
1. The officers will be engaged as Technical Superintendent On-staf ashore with prevailing INSA MUI wages.
2. Service as On Staff ashore will be treated as continuous service without break in service between fleet and shore.
3. The period of engagement will be 6 months with two extensions of 3 months each at the sole discretion of the SCI Management.
4. If concerned officer wants to revert back to sea (Floating Staf), he shall provide minimum 30 days' notice in writing. Also if Company desires of reverting him back to sea (Floating Staft), it shall be given 30 days' notice in writing.
5. Boarding& Lodging shall be as per INSA-MUI Agreement.
6. Conveyance is to be arranged by the officer himself during the period of engagement as Technical Superintendent On-staff.
7. Medical treatment/attendance, if any, as per the prevailing INSA-MUI agreement.
8. During the period of engagement, officer shall be required to sail on board for providing technical assistance to the vessel as required by the Department. During the period of sailing on board for providing technical assistance, he shall be treated as Superintendent On-Staff without any additional allowance.
Selection Process for Shipping Corporation of India Limited Recruitment 2022
- The criteria for selection will be on Interview by the selection committee appointed by SCI Management.
- A merit list of the candidates will be prepared along with a waitlist panel.
- The panel of waitlisted candidates will be kept valid for a year. Calls will be sent to the selected officers for deputation on-staff.
- The interviews will be held in a staggered manner depending on the reporting of the candidates for interviews as they sign off from the vessels
- In the event signing off of the Officer for Interview is not possible, the interviews may be conducted via Skype/Video conferencing
- The Interview panel will comprise of Senior Officers.
