Application is invited by the Captain of Ports, Captain of Ports Department, Dayanand Bandodkar Road, Panaji — Goa., for recruitment to the following Group 'C' post. The applicant should possess i) Valid 15 years residence in Goa ii) Valid Employment Exchange Registration number/ card compulsorily compulsorily.
1. Name of the Post: Sailor, Group 'C'
2. No of Post: 19
3. Pay Matrix: Level-2
4. Essential:
(i) should have passed VII Std.
(ii) Should have passed Maritime School New Entrants Course in either Deck or Engine Department
(iii) Should be Proficient in swimming.
(iv) Should be Physically strong with good eye sight and sense of hearing.
(v) Knowledge Of Konkani
5. Desirable:
(i) Six months ex1Erience as Sailor on board on Inland vessel.
(ii) Knowledge of Marathi.
6. Note:- The direct recruit will be on training for a period of one year on a stipend on Rs. 1500/- per month. On completion of one year, the candidate will be appointed in the pay scale of the post. Training Programme will be drawn by the Captain of Ports.

Instructions
1. Only the eligible candidate fulfilling the criteria as per the recruitment rules/ advertisement shall apply and the candidates need not furnish any documents at the time of applying for the post. However, the candidature shortlisted candidate shall not be considered, if he/she is found ineligible at the time of verification of essential documents, even though he/she has passed the examination.
2. The crucial date for determining the age, qualification and experience shall be 16/07/2021 (closing date) for appointment to the above posts.
3. The candidate applying for reserved category post shall produce valid certificate issued by the competent authority as per the Government Guidelines.
4. Candidate already in Government shall produce the NCE issued by the competent authority from the concerned Department.
5. The candidate shall refer to the detailed advertisement uploaded on the portal www.ports.goa.gov.in.
6. Late and incomplete applications will be summarily rejected and no intimation will sent to the applicants in this regard. Interim enquiries will not be entertained.
