Other Qualification Details:
1. Anaesthesia (including 01 for Cardiac Anaesthesia): A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub section (3) of the Section 13 of the Act.) A postgraduate qualification i.e. MD (Anaesthesia) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post. EXPERIENCE: 3 years teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty concerned after obtaining the qualifying postgraduate degree of MD.

2. CTVS: Qualification: A postgraduate qualification i.e. M.Ch Cardiothoracic Surgery of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post. The candidate must be registered with the State Medical Council/MCI. Experience: 1 year teaching and research experience after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.Ch in case of 2 years M.Ch. However, no additional experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognised degree of M.Ch. or qualification recognised equivalent thereto.

3. Molecular Biology: A postgraduate qualification i.e. MD (Medicine/Clinical Biochemistry/Medical Microbiology/Pathology/Human Physiology) and Ph.D. in Molecular Biology/Pathology/Physiology/Human Genetics/Immunology) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of an India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post. Experience: No additional experience required as it is after MD, Ph.D 
For Non-Medical - Postgraduate qualification i.e. M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/ Human Genetics/Immunology & Immunogenetics, from a recognised University/Institution as regular course recognized by UGC or equivalent. Experience: 03 years teaching and/or sustained research activity in Cellular and Molecular aspects of Human Diseases after obtaining Ph.D.

4. Endocrinology - A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub section (3) of the Section 13 of the Act.). A Postgraduate qualification i.e. DM (Endocrinology) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post. Experience: 1 years teaching and research experience after obtaining the qualifying degree of DM in case of 2 years DM course. However, no additional experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognized degree of DM or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

5. Forensic Medicine - A Postgraduate qualification i.e. MD (Forensic Medicine) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post. The candidate must be registered with the State Medical Council/MCI. Experience: 3 year teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD.

6. Gastroenterology (including 01 for Neuro) - A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub section (3) of the Section 13 of the Act.) A Postgraduate qualification of an Indian University i.e. DM Gastroenterology or an equivalent degree recognized as such by Medical Council of India. Experience: 1 year teaching and research experience after obtaining the qualifying degree of DM in case of 2 years DM course. However, no additional experience is necessary for the candidate possessing the 3 years recognised degree of DM or qualification recognised equivalent thereto.

7. Gastroenterology (Paediatric) - A Postgraduate qualification i.e. MD (Pediatric) with DM (Gastroenterology)/ DM (Pediatrics Gastroenterology) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post. The candidate must be registered with the State Medical Council/MCI. 1 year teaching and research experience after obtaining the qualifying degree in case of 2 years DM course. However, no additional experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognized degree of DM or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

8. General Surgery - A Postgraduate qualification i.e. MS (Surgery) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post. 3 year teaching and research experience, in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MS.

9. Hepatology - A Postgraduate qualification i.e. DM Hepatology/ Gastroenterology/ Pediatric Hepatology of an Indian University/Institute recognized by Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post. No additional experience required.

10. Hospital Administration - A Postgraduate qualification i.e. MD in Hospital Administration of Indian University/Institute or MHA of an Indian University/Institute recognized by Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post.  The candidate must be registered with the State Medical Council/MCI. MHA of two years should have one year additional experience in Hospital Administration. 3 year teaching and research experience, in a recognized Institution in the subject of Hospital Administration after acquiring the essential qualifications.

11. Internal Medicine - A postgraduate qualification i.e. MD (Internal Medicine) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post. 3 years teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD.

12. Nephrology - A postgraduate qualification i.e. DM (Nephrology) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post. 1 year teaching and research experience, after obtaining the qualifying degree of DM in case of 2 years DM course. However, no additional experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognized degree of DM or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

13. Neurology: A postgraduate qualification i.e. DM (Neurology) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post. 1 year teaching and research experience, after obtaining the qualifying degree of DM in case of 2 years DM course. However, no additional experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognized degree of DM or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

1. Biochemistry: A postgraduate qualification i.e. MD (Biochemistry) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post. 14 years teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution in the concerned/allied subject of specialty after obtaining the degree of M.D.

2. Biophysics - A postgraduate qualification i.e. MD (Biophysics) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post. The candidate must be registered with the State Medical Council/MCI. 14 years teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the degree of M.D. For Non-Medical: Master’s degree (regular course – UG recognized/equivalent) viz. M.Sc. Biophysics/ Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Computational & System Biology/Material Sciences . Ph.D degree in the concerned discipline/ subject of an Indian University/Institute or its equivalent Ph.D. degree from a foreign University/Institute recognised by the University Grants Commission. 14 years teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the Ph.D degree.

3. General Surgery. A postgraduate qualification i.e. MS (Surgery) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post. 14 years teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of Specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MS.

6. Nephrology: A postgraduate qualification i.e. DM Nephrology of Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of an India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post 11 years teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of Specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of DM. It will be 12 years in case of 2 years DM course.

7. Orthopaedics: A postgraduate qualification i.e. MS (Orthopedics) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post. The candidate must be registered with the State Medical Council/MCI. 14 years teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MS.

8. Renal Transplant Surgery: M.S (General Surgery) or M.Ch (Urology) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post. The candidate must be registered with the State Medical Council/MCI. 14 years teaching and research experience in a speciality after obtaining the degree M.S and 11 years after obtaining the degree of M.Ch out of which 8 years in Renal Transplant/Transplantation Surgery in a recognized Institution.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

a. Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply much before the closing date and should not wait till the last date.
b. The post(s) is/are whole time and private practice of any kind is prohibited.
c. The selected candidates will be governed by the New Pension Scheme as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division) Notification No.5/7/2003-ECB&PR dated 22.12.2003.
d. All the original certificates/documents will be verified at the time of interview. The shortlisted candidate(s) based on their submissions, must bring one print out of on-line application and all original certificates viz. (i) 10th class, (ii) essential qualifications and experience(s) (iii) valid caste certificate if applied under SC/ST/OBC/OH category issued by the appropriate/competent authority (iv) No Objection Certificate (if in regular employment in any Govt./Semi Govt./Government Enterprises/Government funded autonomous Institutions) along with a set of self attested photocopy of the said document(s)/certificate(s).
e. The period of experience wherever prescribed shall be counted after obtaining the prescribed qualification.
f. The candidates who are working in Govt./Semi Govt./Autonomous Body etc. must submit the “No Objection Certificate” from their present employers alongwith the applicaiton.
g. The candidates must ensure that they fulfill eligibility criteria and that the particulars furnished by them in the application are correct in all respects. If at any stage it is found that the candidate has furnished any incorrect information or has suppressed material fact(s), his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcoming(s) is/are detected even after the appointment, his/her services will be summarily terminated.

Selection Procedure

The eligible candidates will be called for interview. However, the same would be provisional subject to fulfillment of all requirements failing which he/she will not be allowed to appear for interview

How to Apply

1. The candidates applying for the post should confirm their eligibility before visiting the website at www.pgimer.edu.in. The candidates will first fill (i) Advt. No. (ii) Post Code Number, (iii) category and (iv) date of birth on the website and then take a printout of the application form and challan. The application form is to be filled in by BLUE/BLACK BALL PEN in BLOCK LETTERS. The candidates should fill his/her application form available on the PGIMER website. He/She should fill all the fields of the form. No fields should be left blank. After filling application form the candidate should deposit the application fee through challan form (Triplicate) in any branch of SBI.

2. Candidates can visit any Branch of State Bank of India with the fee Payment Challan duly filled in and pay the prescribed Application Fee in the “Power Jyoti” PUL current account of PGIMER. The account No. of PGIMER for recruitment is 35700657347. The candidates after having deposited the fee in the bank must ensure that they have Triplicate Fee Payment Challan with Journal No./Challan No. given by the bank on it. They should mention this Journal/Challan number on the space provided in the application form and keep this challan form with them for future use. 

3. The candidates should ensure that they submit the OFFLINE application immediately after payment of fees. No representation/request/demand for refund of application fees will be entertained as the same is non-refundable. Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID/ Mobile Number which should be kept active during the recruitment process. The candidates should ensure that the E-mail ID is not shared or mentioned to any other person. It is requested not to use any other persons e-mail ID. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying OFFLINE.

4. The application alongwith copies of certificates duly attested by the Gazetted Officer in support of educational qualification(s), experience, age/date of birth certificate, caste certificate, No Objection Certificate from the present employer, if employed and one copy of challan form should be sent through registered post or Speed Post or personally only to the Administrative Officer (Recruitment Cell), PGIMER, Sector-12, Chandigarh 160012 so as to reach before 03.05.2018 till 04.00 P.M. The applications received through Courier/Ordinary Postal Dak etc. are not acceptable. The applications received after the due date will not be accepted. The PGIMER will not be responsible for any postal delay.
