Qualification Details:

a) IIM Udaipur is seeking a full-time experienced Assistant Manager- Marketing to drive the marketing, brand building, PR & communications of the Institute in its objective to be a Global Business School Founded in 2011, IIM Udaipur is a new generation IIM that is well on its way to becoming a globally recognized business school. This is reflected in its AACSB accreditation, QS Ranking and FT Ranking, its knowledge creation output in terms of top-tier research publications, and student outcomes.

b) IIM Udaipur is one of 4 IIMs in the FT Global 2021 MIM Rankings and one of 7 IIMs in the QS 2021 MIM Global Rankings. It is also the youngest B-School in Asia in QS Rankings and is ranked 4th in India for Research as per the ranking criteria used by UT Dallas. IIM Udaipur provides an enabling work environment that respects and nurtures individuals and helps them align their professional goals with those of the institute. The Assistant Manager- Marketing will have ownership for all marketing activities of the institute. 1. Name of the Post: Assistant Manager- Marketing

2. Contract Duration : 3 years (renewable)

3. Joining Date : As soon as possible

4. Salary : Competitive; Commensurate with experience

5. Location : IIM, Udaipur

6. Job Requirements: 

a) You should have an MBA in Marketing or equivalent qualification

b) You should have at least 5 years in-depth experience in marketing and branding

c) Additionally, experience in communications and/ or public relations will be an advantage

d) You should have demonstrated ability to develop and nurture strong professional relationships within organizations you worked in, as well as with external stakeholders

e) You should have prior in-depth experience in developing & implementing marketing, branding, communication, and, preferably, PR strategies, including

f) Understanding and experience in developing communication strategies for various social media

g) You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, especially

h) Strong written communication capabilities with understanding of succinctly conveying complex messages

i) Experience of supporting teams to develop creative and strategic content that meets campaign goals

j) You should be an effective and supportive manager who can foster a positive and collaborative team environment while helping manage the team’s workload by setting and tracking key priorities

k) You should be fluent in spoken and written English.

General Instructions to the Candidates

1. The completion of the period of contract will not confer any right for further extension, regularization, permanency at the Institute.

2. The candidates applying for the above post should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions for the post. Their admission to any stage of the selection process will be purely provisional subject to confirmation that they satisfy the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of interview call letter to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been found eligible.

3. The prescribed qualifications are minimum and unless specified, they are required for consideration for the post, even if higher qualification has been acquired and the mere fact that a candidate possesses the same will not entitle him/her for being called for interview.

4. Relevant experience gained after the minimum qualifying degree will only be taken into consideration. Minimum requirements of qualifications and/or experience can be relaxed in respect of exceptionally outstanding candidates.

5. The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for written / skill test / interview to a reasonable limit based on qualifications, level and relevance of experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement and other academic achievements. The Institute also reserves the right of rejecting any or all the applications without assigning any reasons, therefore.

6. Calling a candidate for test/interview merely indicates that it is felt that he/she with others may be suitable for the post and conveys no assurance whatsoever that he/she will be recommended or selected, or his/her conditions specified in the application will be accepted.

7. Candidates will be short-listed for Test/Interview based on the information provided by them in their online applications. They must ensure that such information is true. If at any subsequent stage or at the time of Test/Interview any information given by them or any claim made by them in their online applications is found to be false, their candidature will be liable to be rejected.

8. The Institute shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at any time at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has clandestine antecedents/background and has suppressed the said information, then his services shall be liable to be terminated.

9. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be detected at any stage even after the issue of appointment letter, the Institute reserves the right to modify/ withdraw/ cancel any communication made to the candidates.

10. Candidates may send testimonials from persons intimately acquainted with their work and character. If the applicant is in employment, he/she should submit testimonials from the most recent employer or immediate superior as a referee.

11. The Institute has a right to decide the mode of screening and testing the applicant for short listing and selection.

12. The Institute solely reserves the right not to fill any advertised position without assigning any reason.

13. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.

14. No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from candidates regarding conduct and result of test/interview and reasons for not being called for interview. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

15. The crucial date for determining the eligibility criteria for all candidates in every respect shall be the prescribed closing date for submission of online application.

Key Responsibilities

1. You will work with stakeholders for the overall marketing, branding and PR strategy for the institute as well as the marketing and communication strategies for its various programs.

a) You will implement such institutional branding and PR strategy directly and through Associates, student teams and vendors, to build a coherent and consistent brand and realign it from time to time

b) You will also implement such programme level marketing and communications strategies, directly and through Associates, student teams and vendors, to build a coherent and consistent programme positioning. You will ensure the applicant quality and admission numbers for the programmes are continuously met with best standards of applicant experience.

c) You will lead, mentor, and manage the Department (currently two full-time associates, three student teams and multiple vendors) holding responsibility for its budget, planning process, successful implementation, and achievement of objectives

2. You will develop, assist and oversee external strategic communications targeted at IIMU brand-building by

a) Working closely with the Associates, student teams & PR agency to ensure IIMU’s public communications across all channels are aligned with the Institute’s strategic plan

b) Monitoring media coverage and analyze media trends regularly related to the Institute
