Advertisement for Inviting Application for the 01 (One) Post of Senior Library and Information Officers In the Pay Matrix level 12 (Rs.78,800-2,09,200) to be Filled up by composite method of Promotion/ Deputation (Including Short-Term Contract/ Absorption). Applications are invited for the Post of Senior Library and Information Officers in the Delhi Public Library , (an autonomous body under Ministry of culture, government of India Dr.Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Marg, Opp.Old Delhi Railway Station Delhi - 110006 as per the details given below

1. Name of the Post: Senior Library and Information Officers

2. No Of Post: 01

3. Pay Scale: In the Pay Matrix level 12 (Rs.78,800-2,09,200)

4. Eligibility Conditions: Library and Information Officers in the Pay level 11(Rs.67700-208700) with 5 years regular service in the grade and officers of the Central/State Government, Central/State Autonomous Bodies/ Public Undertakings;

a) Holding analogous Post on regular basis Or with 5 years regular services in the Post in Pay level 11(Rs.67700-208700) or equivalent.

b) Possessing the educational qualification and experience as shown below in para 2.

c) In case the department officer is selected, His/Her appointment will be treated to have been made by promotion.

5. Qualification and Experience Required:

i) Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from a Recognised University Institute or Equivalent.

ii) 7 years professional experience in a supervisory capacity in a Library under Central/State Government Autonomous or Statutory Organization /PSU./University or Recognised Research or educational Institution.

6. Desirable: Experience of Computerizing library activities and networking with other libraries.
