Qualification Details:

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad is "A" Grade University re-accredited by NAAC in 2019. The jurisdiction of the university is spread over Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed & Osmanabad districts.

1. Post Name: Dean, Faculty of Humanities (Subject to final decision of Hon'ble High Court in the W.P. No. 7212/2020

3. Pay Scale: Pay Scale As per 7th Pay Commission: Pay Matrix Academic Level - 14 (144200 - 218200)

4. Tenure: The term of Dean shall be co-terminus with the term of office of the Vice-Chancellor or till he attains the age of superannuation, whichever is earlier as per the provisions of under Section 15 (3) of Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016.

5. Qualification: The qualification and experience for the purpose of selection ofthe Dean shall be the qualification and experience of the Professor or principal having aggregate minimum teaching or research experience of not less than fifteen years.

i. As per post of Professor (As per G.R. datcd 08th March, 2019) i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in thr concerned/alliud/relcvant disupiine, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in of UGC Regulation 2018.

ii) A minimum of fifteen years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.

iii. An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above) / industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has ten years' experience. OR

iv. As per post of Principal (As per G.R. dated 08th March, 2019) i) Ph.D. degree; ii) Professor/ Associate Professor with a total service/ oxpcricncc of at least fifteen years ot teaching/research in Universities, Colleges and other institutions of higher education; iii) A minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals; and iv) A minimum of 110 Research Score

Documents Required:

1. Application form should be accompanied with self-attested copies of the following documents:-

i) Degree/Diploma certificates, statements of Marks and other certificates of the educational qualifications.

ii) Approval letter of affiliated colleges/recognized institution.

iii) Appointment orders in case of University Teachers.

iv) Certificates/ofteaching/administrative experience and/or research.

v) Birth/SSC certificate or other Government documents as a proof of date of birth.

vi) In case of change in name of the candidate, a copy of Government Gazette.


1. The candidate furnishing incorrect or false information shall stand disqualified. Any changes in this information as and when occurred after the submission of application from till the completion of recruitment process should be brought to the notice of the University, failing which the University reserves the right to cancel the candidature and to debar him/her from all selections.

2. The requisite registration fee (Rs. 1000/- for open category candidates and of Rs. 500/- for reserved category candidate) to be paid online through online payment gateway failing which it will be treated as rejected. Online receipt of the payment must be tagged at the top of the application.

3. The candldates who are already in service should apply through proper channel and submit NOC from the present employer at the time of Interview, otherwise protection of pay and previous services could not be considered. They should furnish all the relevant information regarding their present service, legal proceeding of complaint, court cases, criminal cases, disciplinary actions, if any, pending in respect of his/her existing appointment /services.

4. For the purpose of scrutiny of applications received, provisions of Government of Maharashtra, Higher & Technical Education Department Government Resolution No. Misc- 2018/C.R.56/18/UNI-1, dated 08 March, 2019 along with amendment/clarifications, if any, issued from time to time shall be applicable.

5. Applications received after the last date of receipt of application, incomplete application or without relevant supporting enclosures (self-attested copies of Degree certificates/mark sheets/experience certificate etc.) and not submitted through proper channel will not be considered. No intimation in this regard will be given to the candidates.

6. Applicants will be required to enclose attested readable copies of their educational qualifications, research experience etc. to each set of an application.

7. Qualifications, relevant experience and age shall be considered as on last date of online submission of application.

8. A candidate furnishing incorrect or false information shall stand disqualified at any stage.

9. The University reserves its right to fill up or not to fill up the IXth or to modify/alter/cancel the advertisement.

10. Candidates shall have to produce original documents at the time of appearing for Interview.

11. The Government Resolutions/Circulars issued by the Government of Maharashtra and the provisions of Maharashtra Public I Jniversities Act, 2016 will be applicable.

12. Canvassing directly or indirectly will be treated as disqualification.

13. No queries or correspondence regarding issue of call letters for interview/ selection of candidates will be entertained at any stage.

14. Mere possession of minimum qualifications does not confer any right to be called for interview and/or selection.

15. Applicants are advised to visit the University website for future communication in this regard from time to time.

16. The University will not be responsible for postal delay
