Qualification Details:

Bharat Electronics Limited, a Navaratna category Central Public Sector Enterprise and India’s leading professional Electronics Company, under Ministry of Defence, Government of India, requires experienced professionals for the post of Sr Engineer – 03 Posts (“Chemical & Electro-Chemical Engg” / “Electro-Chemical Engg”) on short term basis for its Pune Unit for Battery Manufacturing Project.

1. Post Name: Sr Engineer (E-III) Fixed tenure Basis for 3 Years

2. Discipline & No. of Posts: BE / B. Tech / AMIE / GIETE : “Chemical & ElectroChemical Engg” / “ElectroChemical Engg” : 03 Posts

3. Minimum Post Qualification Experience as on 01.03.2021: 04 year experience in handling Cell / Battery production line preferably Lithium-ion batteries

4. Post Code: FTE

5. Educational Qualification : Candidates should have completed fulltime BE / B. Tech / AMIE / GIETE in “Chemical & Electro-Chemical Engg” / “Electro-Chemical Engg”. The prescribed qualification should be acquired from AICTE approved Colleges/Institutions or a recognized University. General / OBC candidates should have secured First Class and SC / PWD candidates should have secured Pass Class. ST candidates will be considered at par with UR criteria.

6. Remuneration : Pay Scale Rs. 50,000-3%-1,50,000. In addition to Basic Pay, other allowances like Dearness allowance, House Rent Allowance, 35% of the Basic Pay as perquisites, Performance Related Pay (PRP), Group Insurance, Medical facilities, Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, as per the Company's rules will be part of the remuneration package.

7. Period of contract: Three years from the date of joining. However, the same may be extended depending on the progress of the project, performance of the candidate and at the discretion of BEL.

8. Mandatory Experience / Job Description: Minimum four year post qualification work experience in one or more areas mentioned below:

a. Industrial/Research Lab experience in handling of one or more cell manufacturing machines such as XRD machine, SEM, UVD, Coating Machines, Calendaring Machines, Temperature Vacuum Ovens, Dry Room Infra, Mixer machines, Electrode Slitting / Cutting / Notching Machines, Electrode Stacking Machines, Electrolyte Filling Machine, LASER Welding/Cutting, Leak Detection, Formation Cyclic Testers, Safety test Equipment, Life Cycle Testers & Climatic Chambers.

b. Industrial/Research Lab experience in Handling/Testing of Chemicals, Storage and Disposal of hazardous chemicals used for manufacturing of batteries, preferably Lithium-ion batteries.

c. Industrial/Research Lab Experience for Raw Material Preparation, Electrode making, Electrode stacking, Electrolyte filling, Sealing & checking of fabricated cells -preferably Lithium-ion cells.

d. Industrial/Research Lab Experience in Development of Cell Raw Materials, Electrode Materials, Electrolytes through synthesis preferably pertaining to Li-ion Cells.

Upper age limit as on 01.03.2021: 32 Years

Application Fee:

Application fee for the post of is Rs. 500/- to be remitted by DD in favour of “Bharat Electronics Limited” payable at Pune is required to be attached along with application. SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.

Documents Required:

a) Filled in application form, downloaded from the BEL website.

b) Demand Draft as applicable

c) Self Certified photocopies of the following documents :

i) Birth date proof – Birth Certificate or Marks Sheet issued by Board for Matriculation with clear mention of Date of Birth.

ii) All certificates (starting from Matriculation / Class X) in support of educational qualifications. (Candidates having part-time or correspondence course in prescribed qualification are not eligible).

iii) All Semester Mark sheets for BE / B. Tech / AMIE / GIETE

iv) BE / B. Tech / AMIE / GIETE Original Degree Certificate

v) Conversion formula certificate for conversion of CGPA / DGPA / OGPA or letter grade to percentage marks & awarded class, duly certified by the University / Institution, wherever applicable.

vi) A copy of latest OBC certificate with NCL / a copy of SC/ST/EWS certificate.

vii) Non Creamy Layer Certificate for OBC candidates issued on or after 01.03.2020

viii) Disability certificate in the prescribed format, if the candidate belongs to PWD category.

ix) No objection certificate if employed in Government / Quasi Government and Public Sector undertakings.

x) Experience certificate from the previous and present employer with clear mention of joining / exit date and job responsibilities held.

xi) Two passport size colour photographs.

General Conditions:

1. Only Indian nationals need to apply.

2. Application fee for the post of is Rs. 500/- to be remitted by DD in favour of “Bharat Electronics Limited” payable at Pune is required to be attached along with application. SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.

3. Candidates employed in Govt./Quasi Govt. and Public Sector Undertaking is required to submit the application through proper channel or produce “No Objection Certificate” at the time of interview; without which such candidate will not be allowed to appear for the interview.

4. The number of posts indicated above may vary based on the actual requirement at the time of selection.

5. Applications that are incomplete, not in the prescribed format, not legible, without the required/mandatory enclosures/attachments will be summarily rejected without assigning any reason and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. There will be no separate communication to any candidates on their non-consideration at any stage of the selection process.

6. It is mandatory for the candidates who are already working with any of the units of Bharat Electronics Limited to send their application through the respective HR or if it is revealed during the selection process that the application was not forwarded by the respective HR, such application will be summarily rejected or candidate will be out of selection process without assigning any reason and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

7. There will be no separate communication to any candidates on their non-consideration at any stage of the selection process.

8. The above opening is for Bharat Electronics Limited, NDA Road, Pashan, Pune-411 021. However, selected candidate may be required to serve in other location/s also, if need arises, as per Company’s requirement.

9. Candidates are required to provide their one valid e-mail ID which shall be entered in the application form. Information pertaining to the Written Test / Interview will be sent to the shortlisted candidates only by e-mail. BEL will not be responsible for bouncing of any e-mail sent to the candidate. All correspondence will be done through e-mail only.

10. BEL reserves the right to debar the candidates at any stage of selection process, if the candidature is not found suitable.

11. Candidates claiming to be belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PWD category are required to submit the latest certificate in the prescribed proforma (available in Company’s website www.belindia.in) issued by the prescribed authority along with the application. Certificate in any other proforma or issued by an authority other than the prescribed authority will not be accepted.

12. Candidates belonging to OBC category should produce the certificate dated on or after 01.03.2020 along with Non Creamy Layer Certificate for considering his/her in OBC category

13. Appointment of the provisionally selected candidate will be subject to being found Medically Fit by the Company’s medical authorities as per the medical fitness standards laid down by the Company. The candidate who is called to report on selection should get himself/herself medically examined by a Civil Surgeon/Asst. Civil Surgeon of Government Hospital and submit the medical report as per the requirement of the Company

14. Candidates with relevant disability of not less that 40% only will be eligible for reservation and relaxation as PWD. PWD candidates are required to submit Disability Certificate issued by the Medical board in the prescribed format (available in Company’s website www.belindia.in) along with the application.

15. In case any University / Institute following an evaluation system of CGPA / DGPA / OGPA or letter grade, the candidate, wherever applicable, it is mandatory for the candidate to submit percentage (%) conversion certificate issued by university / institution and awarded class along with the application.

16. The admission at all/any stage of selection process will be purely provisional. Mere issue of admit card/interview call letter to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been cleared by BEL. BEL reserves the right to debar / disqualify any candidates at any stage of the selection process for any reason whatsoever. Mere applying for the post shall not be deemed as selection.

17. Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification at any stage of the selection process.

18. Please ensure that the applicant fulfils all the eligibility criteria as stipulated in the advertisement. In case applicant fails to meet any of the eligibility criteria as stated in the advertisement for the post, his/her candidature will be cancelled at any point of selection process. The decision of the management in this regard would be final.

19. Candidate must go through all instructions and eligibility criteria carefully before submission of Application fee. Application Fees once paid will not be refunded in any case/circumstances.

Selection Procedure :

1. Selection will be through Written Test and Interview.

2. Call letters will be sent to the e-mail IDs of eligible candidates for attending the written test.

3. Date, time and centre details of the written test will be intimated by e-mail in due course. The written test will consist of objective type questions from engineering subjects in respective disciplines / specializations and based on the mandatory area of experience as mentioned in the advertisement.

4. Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their performance in written test and in the ratio of 1:5 in the order of merit in the written test.

5. Depending on the prevailing Covid situation, Personal Interview will be conducted at BEL Pune OR Online Interview through Video Mode. Detailed intimation in this regard will be given to candidates in Written Test Call Letter.

6. In case of “In Person Interview” the outstation candidates will be reimbursed with IInd class train fare by the shortest route between the correspondence address and place of interview on production of valid train tickets. There will be no reimbursement of fare for attending the written test.
