Degree in Electronics Engg. or equivalent qualifications with 7 years experience in Marine Electronics field. OR (2) Radio Electronic Officer Course recognised by M.E.O. Communications with 5 years experience in Marine Electronic field. OR (3) Chief Artificer of Indian Navy from Electronics branch with 10 years experience in Marine Electronics field. OR (4) Certificate of Proficiency in wireless telegraphy and licence to operate wireless telegraph Radio Station awarded by the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Wireless Planning & Coordination, Govt. of India with 5 years experience in Marine Electronics field. OR (5) Certificate of proficiency in Radio Telephone and licence to operate (General / Restricted ) issued by the Ministry of Communication, Govt. of India with atleast 15 years experience as Radio Technician in Marine Electronic field. (6) Practical experience of includes repairs and maintenance of : (i) Marine Electronics Equipments such as MF/HF/VHF/UHF, Transmitters & Receivers. (ii) Marine Radars Direction Finders, Echo Sounders, Recons. (iii) All associated Electronics gadgets such as battery chargers, Voltage Stabilisers, UPS, PA System, Dynamos and batteries of all types. (iv) Sound knowledge of Data Transmission, Radio Modems, basic Computer, DGPs Electronic position fixing devices and variouscommunication system. (v) Two years  Administrative experience in maintaining
inventories, Records and Correspondence independently.
