Qualification: He must be a citizen of India. Criteria 2. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least one of the subjects, namely, Botany, Chemistry, Forestry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or in Engineering in any University incorporated by an Act of the Parliament or of the State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities under Section 3 of University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956) or a foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time or posses a qualification which has been recognised by the State Government for the purspose of admission to the examination. Candidates must posses a working knowledge of Mizo language upto Middle School Standard
Age: He/She must have attained the age of 21 years but must not have exceeded the age of 35 years on the first day of the month in which the Preliminary Examination is held. Provided that the upper age limit may be relaxable upto a maximum of 5 years in respect of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe.
