About WBJEE 2020

WBJEE is a state-level examination which is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. WBJEE is undertaken mainly for the students who wish to enter into courses like B.E, B.Arch, B.Pharm, and B.Tech in the institutions. All students of the country can apply for WBJEE exams. Students can apply online mode. WBJEE exam is conducted through offline mode. The question in WBJEE exams is based on an objective type of questions. WBJEE exams were conducted on February 2, 2020. WBJEE 2020 Exam Dates are announced by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. Also the students can correct certain details provided in the WBJEE application forms between 14th November 2019 to 16th November 2019 in the WBJEE Application Form Correction window. Who are Eligible to appear for WBJEE 2020?

Students who are willing to apply for WBJEE 2020 exams should satisfy certain eligibility conditions. And one who does not satisfy the eligibility criteria will get their application forms rejected. So it is always better to be aware of the eligibility rules before applying for WBJEE exams. Here is the list of eligibility conditions for WBJEE 2020.

• There are no West Bengal domicile requirements unless any student who is claiming of reserved category seats for admission.
• Students who are 17 years of age or more will be able to appear for WBJEE 2020, and there is no upper limit of age prescribed so far.
• In case of admission for the Marine Engineering course, students should not be more than 25 years of age.
• Students should have scored 45% marks minimum in 10+2 examinations.
• Students who are applying for engineering courses should pass in 10+2 exams with any significant subjects as Physics and Maths along with any one of the subjects, namely Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Computer Science or Computer Application.
• Students who are applying for a Pharmacy course should pass in 10+2 exams with any significant subjects as Physics and Chemistry along with any one of the subjects namely Maths or Biology or Biotechnology or Computer Science or Computer Application.
• Some institutions have added additional eligibility rules that pertain to different courses in that institution alone.

How to Apply for WBJEE 2020 exams?

Students can fill the WBJEE application forms that are available online on the official page from 18th October 2019. The only mode to fill the WBJEE application form is through online mode. The last date to fill the WBJEE application form is restricted to 13th November 2019. Students should pay the application fee of Rs.500 within the same date either through online mode like a credit card, debit card, Paytm, net banking, or through offline mode through cash in Allahabad Bank e-challan. When paying the application fees, he or she will be charged additionally with bank charges. It is important to download the confirmation page within 14th-16th November 2019. • Fill in the WBJEE application form with personal, educational and communication details.

What is WBJEE 2020 Admit Card?

WBJEE Admit Card is an important document which should be possessed by all candidates at the time of WBJEE exams. WBJEE Admit Card 2020 can be downloaded from online by providing certain details. Students who do not have the WBJEE Admit Card will not be allowed to appear for WBJEE exams and counselling. Information on WBJEE Exam Pattern 2020

WBJEE 2020 exam pattern will be of more help to the candidates as it provides all the details related to the marking scheme, number of questions asked and types of questions. WBJEE 2020 exam has two papers to be attempted in which paper 1 is all about Mathematics and paper 2 is a combination of physics and chemistry. All the questions are provided in the form of Multiple Choice Questions. For each question, 4 choices are provided from which candidates has to choose a correct answer. • Mode of the exam - Offline Exam
• Total marks - 200 marks (Maths 100 marks and 100 marks for paper 2)
• Total number of questions - 155
• Type of questions - Multiple Choice Questions
• Mode of answering - Shading the correct choice in the OMR sheet using their black or blue ballpoint pen.
• Negative marks - ¼ negative marks is applicable for every wrong answer in case section 1 and 2. For section 3, there is no negative marking.

How to Check WBJEE 2020 Answer Key?

• The Condcuting authority has rfeleased the official WBJEE 2020 Answer key on February 17, 2020. WBJEE 2020 answer key is the list of all the correct responses to all the questions asked in WBJEE 2020 exams. Students will be able to download the WBJEE answer key from the official page. The answer key is useful for the candidates to compare with their own answers and calculate the expected marks in the WBJEE exams. 
• If any of the candidate feels that any of the answers provided in WBJEE 2020 answer key is wrong, they have an opportunity to challenge the answer key. For every question they challenge, it will be charged Rs. 500 each. The authorities will check all the challenges and verify before releasing the WBJEE results. The fee which is paid for challenging the answer key is non-refundable. 
• WBJEE 2020 answer key is downloaded in the form of PDF. Candidates also get an opportunity to get the image of their responses in OMR and the answer key by paying an additional amount of Rs.500. The additional amount has to be deposited in the form of demand draft in favor of ”West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board” payable at Kolkata. The image of the OMR will be sent to the candidates through email to their registered email address.

How to check WBJEE 2020 Result?

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board releases WBJEE Result 2020 through online mode. WBJEE Results 2020 are expected to be published in March 2020. Candidates will require certain details namely the WBJEE application number and password to check the WBJEE Results. WBJEE 2020 results will be released in the form of rank cards by possessing both the ranks and the marks secured by the candidate. Candidates will be called for WBJEE counselling 2020 only based on their scores in WBJEE results. Students should download and print the WBJEE Results from online for any further use. WBJEE 2020 Cutoff is the minimum marks that is expected to be secured by the candidates for them to get qualified in the WBJEE exams. WBJEE Cutoff marks are published online after the WBJEE results are announced. WBJEE 2020 Cutoff marks will publish by the respective authority in the form of opening and closing ranks. Details of WBJEE 2020 Counselling

• Candidates who are qualified in the WBJEE 2020 exams can apply and participate in WBJEE Counselling. WBJEE Counselling is conducted through online. To participate in WBJEE Counselling, students should first register themselves for the counselling and make the payment for the same. The next step is to fill and fix their choices based on the course and university preferences. 
• The seats are allotted according to the ranks and scores scored by the candidates in the WBJEE 2020 exams. Once seats are allotted, students are requested to be available at the reporting centre with all the necessary documents for verification. What are the Important Dates related to WBJEE 2019?

WBJEE 2020 exams are mostly conducted in the month of May every year. All students from the states of India will be able to apply for WBJEE. Students need not require West Bengal domicile.  WBJEE 2020 exams are scheduled for paper I and paper II which is conducted with one paper in the morning and one in the evening session. Paper I (Mathematics) is conducted between 11am to 1pm. Paper II (Physics and Chemistry) is conducted between 2pm to 4pm. The last entry time for morning session is 10.30am and for the next session is around 1.30 pm.
