The university-level engineering admission exam is called the VITEEE. VITEEE 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria are an essential element in VITEEE. The eligibility criteria for VITEEE 2023 are briefly given below for a candidate to do a self-check.
- Nationality – The applicant can be a Resident of India or Non Resident Indian National or Person of Indian Origin.
- Age – The applicants who are born on or after 1st July 1999 can apply for VITEEE 2023.
- Qualifying examination – Candidate should have completed any of the following:

Clear 10+2 examination conducted by the State Board, CBSE and ICSE.

Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.

Certificate of High School Examination from the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma from the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
-
Examination of the General Certificate Education (GCE) at the Advanced level.

The NIOS applicants can also apply for the examination.

Eligibility Criteria For The Qualifying Examination – Candidates applying for the Undergraduate Engineering admission in 2023 should have secured minimum aggregate of:

General/ Open Category – 55% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology in the qualifying examination

SC/ ST/ Jammu and Kashmir/ Northeast State – 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology in the qualifying examination

VITEEE 2023 Application Form
Once the candidate has checked through the above eligibility criteria he can proceed with the VITEEE 2023 application form available on the official website.
Applications through online mode –

1st Step – Candidates first need to register themselves by entering their valid email ID, residential status, DOB, gender, mobile number etc
-
2nd Step – Thereafter, they have to login with password and user id.

3rd Step – After that it would be required to upload the scanned photograph and signature and proceed to the payment section.

4th Step – After payment, review the entire form for the correctness of details entered and click on submit.

5th Step – Once the registration/ application form is submitted Candidates will receive a unique application number. Candidates can save the Application form and also take a printout for further reference.
Applications through offline mode – Candidates can procure the application forms from the VIT campus or from designated post offices at Rs. 1250/- (Rupees One Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty Only). This fee is non-refundable. Currently, there are six post offices that give the application forms, three each in the State of Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

VITEEE 2023 Exam pattern
The VITEEE 2023 examination pattern is given below.
- Note this exam pattern of VITEEE 2023 is as per last year, when VITEEE was held as an online remote proctor test.
Mode of Examination: It will be held in remote proctored mode.
- A remote proctored test is an online exam which is given via internet and students can take it from any place. No need to visit center to take the test.
Type of Questions: The question paper will be an objective type of multiple-choice question.
Medium of Language: The language of the question paper will be English.
Total number of questions: The exam contains 80 questions.
Duration of this exam; It is held for 90 minutes:
Negative Marking: There are no negative markings for a wrong answer.

VITEEE 2023 Syllabus
The VITEEE 2023 examination syllabus is spread across four sections. Candidates must go through the Syllabus before they begin their preparation for the examination. The sections wise syllabus includes but is not limited to:
Physics – Laws of Motion & Work, Energy and Power, Properties of Matter, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Electric Current, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current, Dual Nature of Radiation and Atomic Physics, Optics, Semiconductor Devices, and their Applications and Nuclear Physics.
Chemistry – Atomic Structure, Coordination Chemistry, and Solid State Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Chemical Equilibrium and Chemical Kinetics, p,d and f – Block Elements, Electrochemistry, Isomerism in Organic Compounds, Alcohols and Ethers, Carboxylic Acids and their derivatives, Organic Nitrogen Compounds and Biomolecules, and Carbonyl Compounds.
Mathematics – Matrices and their Applications, Discrete Mathematics, Probability Distributions, Differential Equations, Integral Calculus, and its Applications, Differential Calculus, Analytical Geometry of Three Dimensions, Vector Algebra, Analytical Geometry of two dimensions and Trigonometry and Complex Numbers.
Biology – Taxonomy, Cell and Molecular Biology, Genetics and Evolution, Reproduction, Human health and diseases, Biochemistry, Plant physiology, Human physiology, Biotechnology and its applications and Biodiversity, ecology and environment.
English Aptitude – Comprehension of a short passage or line of poems, English Grammar, and Pronunciation. Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency, Syllogism, Number series, Coding and Decoding, and Clocks, Calendars and Directions.
How to prepare for VITEEE 2023?
Students need to prepare for the VITEEE 2023 exam at least 2 – 3 months prior to the VITEEE 2023 examination date. Candidates can follow some of the tips given below:

Go through the syllabus, subjects and exam pattern very carefully and strategize your preparation.
-
Candidates need to purchase their books only as per the syllabus and the topics covered in the syllabus. Thus it is advisable to read the index before purchasing any books
-
Make sure you always sit with proper stationary in hand – pen, pencils, sticky notes, flags, notebook, etc. to make markings then and there.
-
Divide your preparation into three parts – Easy, Moderate and Difficult or Important, Basic and not important. Keep adding these flags for every topic you touch.
-
Dedicate 1 – 3 hours daily for each subject. Or dedicate 4 – 6 hours for two subjects each day. For example, Mathematics and Physics on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and Chemistry and English on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
-
Take adequate breaks after switching from one subject to another.
-
Do not overdo any subject in one single day. Always keep track of your timing.
-
Perform your daily exercises, eat on time, drink plenty of water, do not miss your meals, take adequate sleep at least 6 – 8 hours, keep something sweet in hand and perform exercises for neck and eyes.

Do not break your consistency, be regular with your routine.
-
Revision is an important element. After you have completed almost 80 percent of your syllabus, give one day to each subject for revision. And try to solve questions papers available online or in VITEEE preparation books.

At the end of your preparation, take mock tests and test your strengths and weaknesses.
VITEEE 2023 Admit Card
The VITEEE 2023 admit card will be issued online on the official website a few weeks prior to the examination. They are only released for students who have done the slot booking. Candidates have to log in with a username and password to download admit card. The VITEEE 2023 admit card is an important document and candidates are not allowed to appear for the examination without the same. Applicants appearing for the VITEEE exam must carry one valid ID proof also.
VITEEE 2023 Slot Booking
The slot booking for VITEEE 2023 is to be done at the time of the application process. The following points are essential to note.

Slot booking has to be done as per the candidates preferences.

Slot booking can be done for 2 mock tests and the VITEEE 2023 exam

Candidates have to select the time preferable to them from the available slots and select the date of the examination.

The timings booked will be the same for the mock tests and the VITEEE 2023 exam. This helps the candidate to be prepared well for the VITEEE 2023 exam.

The different time slots available for booking are – 8.30am, 11.00am, 1.30pm and 4.00pm.

The slot booking for VITEEE 2023 will be available on the VIT OTBS (online test booking system).

Once a slot is booked no further changes will be allowed.

The slot booking information will be used to issue the admit card to the candidates.
VITEEE 2023 Result
The VITEEE 2023 result is released by VIT, Vellore on the official website i.e. vit.ac.in. Candidates need to log in with a user id and password to check the same. The rank list is also intimidated to candidates through the SMS. The result comprises of important details like name of candidates, roll number, rank, marks obtained, percentage and rank. The steps to check the rank list are as follows.
- Visit the official website i.e. viteee.vit.ac.in/
- Click on the “Result” link.
- Enter application number and password.
- Click on “Submit”.
- View your VITEEE 2023 results
- Download the result and take a print out.
VITEEE 2023 – Counseling process
The VITEEE 2023 counseling process will commence a few days after the results are declared. The selection of the candidate for counseling is based on their ranking. The counseling will be conducted through online mode on viteee.vit.ac.in. Candidates who have qualified in the VITEEE 2023 test will be eligible for the VITEEE 2023 counseling process.
During the counselling process candidates will also be required to provide their original and attested photocopy of each of the documents as required for the purpose of verification and select their desired campus and program as per their preferences.
After the above process comes to an end, the authorities will allot the seats to the qualified and eligible candidates based on the information filled during the counseling process.

VITEEE 2022 Exams 2023 - FAQ
The exam will be conducted in online(computer-based test) mode only for a duration of 2 hours and 30 min.
Offline application form INR 1200 (Including GST) + INR 50 for Demand Draft Online Application form- INR 1150.
There is no set limit for the number of attempts in VITEEE 2023, but the candidates must not exceed the age of 22 years to be eligible to apply for the exam.
Each question carries one mark. No negative marks for wrong answers. There will be a total of 125 questions in the exam. A maximum number of questions will be asked form Maths/Biology Section and a minimum number of questions will be asked from the English section. A new section that is Aptitude has been added in VITEEE 2023.
