New Update on 23.01.2023: TOEFL Exam Pattern 2023 - TOEFL Exam Pattern 2023 comprises English reading, writing, speaking, and listening. TOEFL Reading and listening section consists of MCQs and total number of MCQs in these two sections is 58-79. The tasks of TOEFL writing section are descriptive. In the speaking section, the candidates need to provide short to long answers to the questions asked. The total duration of the TOEFL exam is around 3 hours.The time allotted for the reading section of the TOEFL is usually 60-80 minutes, while the time allotted for the listening section is usually 60-90 minutes. TOEFL 2023

The ETS(Educational Testing Service) is the Conducting body that conducts the TOEFL to calculate the level of proficiency of a non-native speaker to communicate in English in all forms like reading, writing, speaking, or listening. Students assess your ability to communicate, the test divided into four sections, namely Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing, which extend throughout four and a half hours. The TOEFL Overall score ranges from 0 to 120. The total rating and sectional scores will be sent to you after you complete the test.

TOEFL Exam can attempt in two forms, the internet-based test (iBT) and the paper-based test (PBT). However, the majority of the countries follow the internet-based test, and only a few of the countries follow the paper-based test(PBT). Listening

• Total Questions: 28-38
• Test duration: 41-57 minutes
• Listening sections to lectures, conversations, classroom discussions, and then answer questions based on them.

Break: 10 minutes

Speaking:

• Total Questions: 4 tasks
• Test duration: 17 minutes
• Students need to express their opinion on a topic familiar to them and speak based on reading and listening tasks.

Writing:

• Total Questions: 2 tasks
• Test duration: 50 minutes
• Students need to write essay responses based on reading and listening tasks, along with supporting the opinion in writing.

TOEFL Scores

Candidates need to understand how each section scored. After ten days of giving the exam, students receive an email from ETS when their scores are available. One can check the TOEFL scores online. Candidates receive the printed reports of their scores through email after 13 days of the TOEFL Test Date.
