SLIET SET 2020 is a Entrance Test conducted by the Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology for admissions in integrated Certificate-Diploma (ICD), SET IA for 2nd year Integrated Certificate-Diploma (ICD), SET III - for BE Lateral entry and SET V for PhD programmes. SLIET SET 2020 entrance test comprises four phases such as SET I, SET IA, SET III and SET V. On the basis of marks obtained in the national level entrance exam and counselling admissions will be offered. Candidates who qualified in the SLIET SET 2020 are only eligible to attend the SLIET SET counselling 2020.

Who is eligible to apply for SLIET SET 2020?

Candidates should check the eligible criteria for SLIET SET 2020 before applying for an entrance exam. If the candidate doesn’t meet the eligibility criteria then he/she will be eliminated from the admission process by the conducting body, informs the management.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Integrated Certificate Diploma Programmes (ICS)
Candidates should have passed 10th from a recognized institution with English, Mathematics and Science as core subjects.

For lateral entry-ICD

Candidates who are willing to join lateral entry-ICD should complete 2 years long ITI or equivalent in the same discipline with 50% aggregate marks (for reserved category 45% mark is enough) from a recognized institution.
For 4year long BE programmes
To get admission in 4year long BE programmes, the candidate should qualify with JEE Main. Only the candidates who secured good marks in JEE Main are eligible to get admission in BE.

For lateral entry-BE

Candidates should have qualified with diploma programmes from any institute that is affiliated to State Board Education and should be an approval of All India Council for Technical Education with 55% aggregate marks (for reserved category 50% mark is enough).
Candidates who are pursuing final year can also apply

For M.Tech programmes

Candidates should complete BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc in Engineering from a recognized institution in the same discipline with 60% aggregate marks (for reserved category 55% mark is enough).
Candidates who have qualified with Institution of Engineering (India) Section B in the same discipline can also apply.
Candidates who have 3years experience in any reputed organisation with grade IETE can also apply.

For MBA programmes

Candidates should complete BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc/ B.Com or candidates from Mathematics, Economics department with55% aggregate marks (for reserved category 50% mark is enough) from a recognized institution.
Candidates who have qualified with master programmes in any discipline with 55% aggregate marks (for reserved category 50% mark is enough) from a recognized institution can also apply.

For Research programmes

Candidates who have a complete master degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Science and Humanities/ Management studies with 55% aggregate marks (for reserved category 50% mark is enough) can apply.
Candidates who are willing to do research programmes in Computer Science will not be allowed with an MCA Degree.

What is the application process of SLIET SET 2020?

SLIET SET Application Form 2020 will be available on the official portal. Candidates who are willing to participate in the SLIET SET 2020 events can fill the application form. The application form will be available only online. To fill the application form of SLIET SET 2020, candidates need to register themselves at the official web portal by entering all the required details. After a successful registration candidates can login to the portal and pay the application fee as prescribed by the management.
