Sastra University Counselling 2021 To be Conducted

New Update on 22-02-2021: Sastra University Counselling 2021 - Sastra University (Deemed) will conduct counselling for admission to B.Tech in June. Counselling will be performed online at Sastra University B.Tech 2021, where all eligible candidates must register for admission. On the basis of JEE Main and Class 12 scores, Sastra University admits students. The university does not carry out its own admission test for admission to B.Tech seats.

Sastra University B.Tech Rank List

Two separate merit lists, one based on candidate scores in JEE Main and Class 12 marks taken together and a separate merit list based on Class 12 marks, will be published by Sastra University. Applicants who have their name on the B.Tech rank list at Sastra University will be eligible for admission to the institute. The distribution of seats would be based on a list of merits.

In preparing the merit list for both grades, the university has followed its own formula. For JEE Main plus class 12 marks and for class 12 marks alone, check below how the merit list is prepared.

How Sastra University B.Tech Rank List is Prepared

JEE Main + Class 12 Marks

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of marks scored by then in JEE Main 2021 and in class 12
JEE Main scores will be given 75% weightage and class 12 scores will be given 25% weightage in preparing merit list
On the basis of the combined score of all the candidates, the rank will be prepared.

Class 12 Marks

The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their normalized class 12 marks.
This will be done for the remaining 30% seats.

Sastra University B.Tech Counselling Procedure 2021

Seat allocation will be eligible for candidates who will register for Sastra University B.Tech counselling in 2021 and will have their name on the merit list. The seat allocation would be achieved by a process of computerized seat allocation.

Candidates who are given a seat must pay the fees and send the necessary documentation to the Institute in order to validate their admission. A list of all the documents needed is given here.

Score Card of JEE Main 2021 (if applicable)
Tuition fee demand draft in favour of SASTRA University, payable at Thanjavur
Recent Passport Size Photograph
Transfer Certificate from the institute last attended
Migration Certificate
Other certificates (as may be asked by the institution)

All the original documents will be checked by the admission committee of the University of Sastra and will be returned to the applicants, while the institution will provide xerox copies of all the documents.
