Eligibility Criteria for NIMHANS Entrance Exam 2021

• Medical: Aspirants who have MD/ MS/ DNB/ DPM from a recognized University or any other University recognized as equivalent to that by NIMHANS and by the Medical Council of India may apply for the course.
• Non-Medical: Aspirants with M.Sc./ MA/ MSW/ BAMS / BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc. should have passed the requisite examination from a University recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) with not less than 55% of marks in aggregate on or before the date of interview/ admission. Aspirants who have appeared for the qualifying exam and are awaiting results may also apply. However, such applicants will be eligible to look for the interview/ admission only if they produce proof of having passed the writing examination.

Age Bar

• The age evaluated as on July 1, 2021, for the session I and January 1, 2021, for session II.
• The maximum age is relaxable of 5 years in the SC/ST students and 3 years for OBC candidates for the courses where the seats reserved for the OBC/ SC/ ST category only.
• For postgraduate medical & Super Speciality courses – age should not be more than 32 years for MBBS degree aspirants and 37 for PG medical degree holders.
• The maximum age for applying to M.Sc. in Biostatistics course is 30 years and relaxable by a maximum of 3 years for OBC applicants.
• B. Sc. in Nursing/Radiography/Anaesthesia/B.Sc. in Clinical Neurophysiology Technology age of the applicants should be between 17 and 25 years.
