New Update 17-03-2023 - NID DAT Counselling 2023 - Following the announcement of the NID DAT final results for both the B.Des and M.Des programmes on May 18, 2023, the National Institute of Design will conduct the NID DAT 2023 counselling at the NID Ahmedabad campus. The shortlisted candidates must show up in person for the NID DAT counselling with the required paperwork. During the NID DAT 2023 counselling process, candidates must have their original documents with them for verification.

What are the Documents Required for the Admission process?

Applicants will have to bring the original documents along with photocopies on the day of the counselling process.

• 10th & 12th Mark sheet

• Birth Certificate

• Graduation Mark sheet (Degree / Diploma)

• Graduation Certificate (Degree /Diploma)

• Reservation Category Certificate

• PwD Certificate

• Passport (for an overseas category)

• Bonafide Certificate

NID DAT Counselling and Allotment of Seats Detail

The NID DAT 2023 counselling process primarily involves three steps. No Student can skip these stages and stand for the confirmation of admission to their desired institution. Let’s look at the levels of counselling procedures in detail.

Qualified Students:

• The successfully Eligible candidate, whose name appears in the rank list, will be allotted seats provisionally after the online verification of documents. The shortlisted students are required to submit their acceptance online-only to qualify for the next level of the selection process. Based on the online approval submission by shortlisted candidates, the Merit List will regularly be updated on the official website of NID.

• If the student does not submit the approval online within the specified time frame, then they will be taking any further participation in the selection procedure of NID. Only those Students who are qualify according to the rank list and also their acceptance online within the given time limit will consider in the 1st merit list for B.Des & GDPD and M.Des programs (all disciplines).

NID DAT Counselling 2023 Documents Upload:

The applicants, who have eligible as per the 1st Merit List, will be required to upload the scanned copies of the necessary documents for verification. Eligible Students must note that the scanned copies of the original documents have to be uploaded in JPEG format only.

NID will only offer provisional Entry to those students who are qualified for relevant documents uploaded by the student during the verification process. The follows documents will have to be uploaded:

• Birth Certificate

• Class 10 Marksheet

• Class 12 Marksheet

• Degree Marksheet (for admission to M. Des.)

• OBC NCL/SC/ST Category Certificate

• Passport and Equivalence certificate should upload by the Overseas category candidates (both B.Des or M.Des programs).

Seat Allotment:

• The allocation of the position for B.Des/GDPD and M. Des program will conduct in person at the Ahmedabad campus. Each candidate must be present with the requisite documents as per the schedule.
• If the applicant failing to report with the requisite documents will lead to disqualifying their candidature, and their seat will allot to the next qualified candidate in order of merit.

Provisional Offer for the Admission process:

After the verification of the original documents is a tentative Offer of Entry given to qualified candidates, which include details of fees to pay. It will send to the candidate via email. The following documents will attach with the email ID:

• Physical Fitness Certificate (to be certified by an RMO)
• Indemnity Bond
• Hostel Rules/ Regulations and Hostel Application Form
• Size of Undertaking to be submitted by the candidate (only in case if the result of 12th Standard or final year Bachelor program is not declared).
