New Update - NEET Result 2020 - The National Testing Agency ( NTA) has announced the NEET Result 2020 on October 16, 2020. The NEET Result 2020 is posted onto NTA's official website. National Testing Agency, NTA was released NEET UG Answer Key 2020 on September 26, 2020. The Agency examined on September 13, 2020. The Advance Answer Keys for candidates for all the sets (E1- E6, F1- F6, G1-G6, H1-H6) has been released on Candidates will have to log in to their registered accounts on the official website to download the NEET Result 2020.

Aspirants must know that the result for NEE UG can be downloaded up to 90 days from the date of declaration. Through NEET 2020 scores, 80,055, MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, and 525 BVSc & AH seats will be granted in top medical and dental colleges of India. Applicants can check the step-wise procedures to check NEET Result 2020 and download their respective NEET 2020 scorecard.

Previous Updates- Information about NEET Cut Off 2020

Aspirants to qualify NEET 2020 are required to obtain a minimum qualifying percentile as laid down by the NTA(National Testing Agency). As per the minimum qualifying criteria, Students belonging to the Unreserved (UR) category are required to score equivalent to at least 50thpercentile, and those belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC are required to obtain marks equivalent to at least 40% to be considered for AIQ and state counselling process. The NEET 2020 cutoff scores equivalent to the percentile has been declared by the NTA, which has been mentioned in the table below.

Tie-Breaking Criteria For NEET Result 2020

  • In case of two or more students have secured the same score, a tie-breaking criterion is applied to get an inter-se merit /All India Quota (AIQ) in NEET Result 2020. NEET candidates can check the tie-breaking criteria provided below.
  • Candidates who have scored higher in Biology will prefer over others in NEET Result 2020.
  • If the above factors do not work, then aspirants who have scored higher in Chemistry will be given preference.
  • If the tie persists, the applicants who have less number of incorrect answers in the NEET 2020 Exam will be given a higher order of merit compared to others.
  • If all the above factors fail to resolve the tie, then the older applicant will be considered over others.

How to Calculating Percentile Rank of NEET Result 2020?

NTA defines percentile rank as the percentage of scores that fall below a given score in a group. A specific formula is applied based on which the NEET 2020 percentile score of a candidate is calculated. Candidates can check the NEET Score Calculation formula below.

  • NEET 2020 scores = (Number of correct answers X 4) - (Number of incorrect responses X 1).

How to check the NEET Answer Key 2020?

  • The authority will release the NEET 2020 official answer key before the announcement of results. NEET 2020 answer key released by NTA, students will be able to calculate the probable score that they might have achieved in the NEET exam 2020.
  • NEET Answer key 2020 is the most reliable source through which an applicant can evaluate their performance in the entrance test. The Conducting authority also gives a provision to challenge the official NEET 2020 answer key after its release. Interested students will be able to challenge the questions by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 1000/- per question.

What are the Details about NEET Merit List 2020?

  • NTA is also responsible for preparing the NEET merit list 2020 for candidates who have opted for 15% All India Quota. The merit list for counselling will prepare based on the NEET Result 2020. The list of students who will qualify the NEET 2020 exam will be forwarded to the Directorate General of Health Services for the allotment of seats available under 15% AIQ. The NEET 2020 merit list of NEET 2020 will arrange category wise based on a category given at the time of applying for counselling. The merit list details like the merit rank, marks, roll number, and percentile.
  • NTA will release the NEET 2020 merit lists with central and state counselling authorities, which will use for admission. The respective NEET 2020 counselling will publish subsequent merit lists as per their guidelines. The Authorities of individual state counselling will prepare the merit lists for students who are native to the state.

What to do after NEET Result 2020?

  • NEET qualified students (except students from J&K) need to participate in the MCC conducted centralized counselling process for the All India Quota. Students can register for the centralized NEET 2020 Counselling.
  • Aspirants belonging to Jammu & Kashmir state who have qualified the NEET 2020 exam but have not opted to participate in All India Quota(AIQ) counselling must register for the state counselling process of J&K.
  • Applicants can also register the state counselling of the respective states if they fulfil the eligibility laid down by the respective state authorities.

NEET Counselling Process 2020

Based on the scores secured in NEET Result 2020, NEET 2020 counselling will commence. NEET 2020 counselling is carried out at different levels for 15% AIQ seats and 85% state quota seats. The admission to MBBS and BDS seats across the country will be as per the following process.

  • 15% of all government seats available are reserved under All India Quota seats. These seats are filled by the NEET 2020 counselling conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the MCC(Medical Counselling Committee).
  • The remaining 85% seats in government and private medical, as well as private colleges, will be reserved under state quota seats. Respective state counselling authorities will grant admission to 85% state quota seats as per the eligibility and domicile rules prevailing in the state.
  • Central Institutes/Universities/Deemed Universities: All the seats offered by medical and dental central institutes/universities, as well as deemed universities, will be allotted based on NEET Result 2020.
  • MCC will conduct the counselling for 100% seats in central institutes and deemed universities.
  • NEET UG 2020 result will be the basis for Entry State/Management/NRI quota seats offered by private medical /dental colleges/any private university.
  • All qualified students who will nominate under Central Pool quota seats will be granted admission based on their NEET scorecard 2020 through the NEET 2020 counselling for such applicants will be done by MCC.
