NATA Eligibility Criteria 2021 - Relaxed

New Update on 12-04-2021: NATA Eligibility Criteria 2021 - Along with the official brochure, the Council of Architecture (CoA) has relaxed the NATA 2021 eligibility requirements. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal declared a relaxation of admission eligibility for BArch courses. The NATA 2021 eligibility criteria are the conditions and qualifications that candidates must meet in order to be eligible for entry. As a result, before filling out the NATA application form 2021, candidates should review the NATA eligibility criteria. NATA Eligibility Criteria 2021

NATA Eligibility Criteria 2021 - NATA 2021 or the National Aptitude Test in Architecture is a national level examination for admission to undergraduate courses in architecture. The test measures applicants' aptitude for a specific field of study in areas like drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking, and qualities acquired over a long period and related to architecture. The candidates are advised to check the NATA Eligibility Criteria 2021 before applying for the entrance test. NATA stands for National Aptitude Test in Architecture.

Academic Qualification

Candidates should have passed 10+2 level or equivalent from a recognised board.

Marks Required

Candidates should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

Candidates who have passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate will also be eligible.

  • Qualifying Exam: The Candidate must pass 12th (10+2) exam from any recognized board.
  • Performing Candidates: The qualifying exams will also be eligible for applying for the NATA 2021 entrance test.
  • Percentage Criteria: Candidates must have secured at least 50% aggregate in their qualifying examination & 50% marks in PCM.
  • 5% relaxation is given to SC, ST, OBC-NCL category or PwD (Persons with a disability) candidates.
  • Subjects: The candidates must have physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects in the qualifying examination.
  • Humanities Candidates: Candidates with arts stream are also eligible to apply, if they have qualified the physics, chemistry and mathematics exams conducted by CBSE.
  • Diploma: 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject can also apply.

Eligibility Criteria

KCET

  • He/She should be a citizen of India.

  • A candidate who has passed the 2nd PUC / 12th standard exam with Mathematics as one of the subjects and secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in all subject.

  • 45% of marks in the case of SC, ST, Category‐I, OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) candidates, and the person with a disability of mental retardation or mental illness (including dyslexia).

KEAM

  • Candidate should be an India National.

  • Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are also eligible for admission.

  • Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam securing minimum 50% aggregate marks.

OR

Candidates should hold a 3-year diploma with minimum 50% aggregate marks

OR

Candidates should have completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, securing at least 50% marks.

  • Candidates should have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects in the qualifying exam.

GUJCET

  • Candidates should be an India National.

  • Candidates should have passed class 12th from a recognized board with at least 45% aggregate score.

  • Candidates should have passed diploma from any recognized institution with minimum 50% Score.

Himachal B.Arch Admission

  • Candidates should have passed 12th class with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in all subjects (45% for Reserved category) and Mathematics as one of the subjects.

OR

Candidates should have passed 10+3 (diploma) with the subject of Maths from a recognized Centre/State Government with minimum 50% aggregate marks, (45% in case of Reserved category).

NATA 2021 Eligibility 2021 - FAQ

1. What is NATA exam for?

NATA is conducted by the Council of Architecture at national level for admission to 5 year B. Arch Degree Course at all recognized institutions across India.

2. Can I pursue B.Arch without NATA?

Diploma in Architecture can be done. There are no colleges that give admission in B. Arch without considering NATA/JEE Mains score.

3. How many times is NATA conducted every year?

NATA is conducted twice a year. The phase 1 exams of NATA 2021 are expected to be held in April 2021.

4. Is NATA difficult to crack?

It depends on your knowledge in aptitude and your drawing skills. Apart from that, NATA is easy

5. What is the Percentage Criteria for NATA?

The candidates must have secured at least a minimum of 50% aggregate in their qualifying examination & 50% marks in PCM.
